The amek was a beauty , in fact everything Mr Neve was involved in is solid and brilliant ..... it's really a matter of taste ; having 10 consoles makes no sens , just use what brings from A to B the faster /better /funnier .... enougth to make a choice ..... with everything i own , i go back systematicallly when moving fast on ssl 4000 E ... I'm starting to question myself with Presonus HW quality , got an atom , kobs are terrible , keeps movings values after touching them ...got myself a faderport V2 in march , knob makes me random jump of values , positiv or negativ when turned ...issue confirm , repair on the menu ....so i ain't even watch this , wanted to go with the SSL then i said to myself , well faderport with console 1 should do it , ssl lacks a lot of stuff but at least it's built like it's supposed to !! Same , was thinking about atom SQ ... well nope for now .... oh and the faderpot doesn't even works on my laptop , i suspect usb incompatbility because some said it won't work on usb 3 stuff ..... yep 2021 !!

Kevin it really depends , i like straight solid bass lines , no gimmick , motown was a perfect exemple , bass lines were simple but the most effective , versus those bass players that goes "hey , loook how i can play " , this is the difference bewteen people that serves the track , versus those who serves their egos .... So in the end if you need more technical playing and expression , ezbass is great , i like it for transiotion , slides ect kinda stuff or layering ideas , modo when i need to go fast , i made a motown pacth in modo , i go to like 90 of the time !!

i have trillian , toontrack , scarbee nad the one i love to use is modo bass lol also lately since i got it believe me or not but for simple bass line , korg triton has some convicing in the mix ones lol
