Been using the Logitech G700 (since 2013) and no issues whatsoever. However, I've been thinking of getting a trackball (if/when needed).

Just one too many 9's in that price tag....

I'm using a first gen Scarlett as well. It seems to be getting worse lately... I hate how hard it is to verify. Is it software, drivers, DAW, OS? Who knows .. lol
Focusrite stopped making drivers for 1st generation products which caused all those issues for me. That's when I decided to get IK's Axe I/O.
Since the guitar is my main instrument, the Axe was a world of a difference compared to the 2i4. No latency and talk about the tonal improvement...can highly recommend it for guitarists or bassists. 👍

There was a story on NPR a long time ago. The female correspondent related the experience of her dog getting addicted to some type of frog which oozed a hallucinogenic substance. It was hilarious.

I think Larry's job is waaaay above my paygrade.....as far as I'm concerned, he (or anyone else) can be the Alpha, Omega, Gamma, or Beta and I'll follow the leader. GAS is not a joking matter!!!

I think you should do do a plain save (pick patch only) not a batch resave. Otherwise the edits to the MIDI automation won't be saved. The hidden remove button because of screen issues can be a big problem.
But I'm only guessing on why the sounds would get cut off. Filter cutoffs on MIDI controls often cause Kontakt instruments to go silent. It could be something else too.
The single instruments don't have the arp and aren't really nearly as cool as the dual with the arp.
I removed the Filter cutoff's, but it still happens in standalone (the volume just drops to a very low level). I saved it as you recommended (not batch resave) and closed K5, reopened and now it only plays for a few seconds before dropping volume. Don't really want to really spend so much time on this as I thought it would be a quick fix and interestingly, this is the only instrument I have ever had this issue with.
BTW, I like this snipboard site for sharing screenshots....thanks again Matthew!!

Bring up the MIDI automation panel, select the assigned one (a few of the instruments seem to have assigned CC 0 which is bank select and may actually be the more likely problem CC, but honestly all of them are kind of suspect). If you select the assignment down below you'll see the settings, there is a remove button. This might help:
I couldn't see that 'remove' button on my screen as it's on the bottom of the GUI and it's been like this in Kontakt standalone....I'm guessing it's something to do with my 36" monitor and/or Kontakt's gui. 🤷♂️
Had to use the 'portrait' setting in my display to access the 'remove' button.
Of note, the CC filters are only on the Ukulele/Muted Piano and Musicbox instruments. I removed the CC filters on both/ batch resaved, and closed K5. Reopened K5. and they're still there.....I'm guessing it's only in the standalone as others don't seem to be having this issue. Will use CbB tonight.
Thanks again Matthew for the walk through....I appreciate it. 🍻

It looks like most of the instruments have MIDI CC channels assigned to filter cutoff automation. Running it stand alone you may still be sending MIDI messages. Reload the instrument fresh (to get the right filter settings) then go to the Automation page in Kontakt and remove the assigns.
Then re-save the instrument.
Thanks Matthew....I think this might be the ticket, but I don't know how to remove the assignments (sorry, I'm a complete noob at this
).

Thanks Lemar, but this is in standalone mode. I always check out the sounds here before opening it up in the DAW.

Need some help here....
All the instruments sound excellent, but every single one (or pair) drops in volume after a few bars or sometimes longer (not very consistent) . In the ARP section, I see the set values in the steps/volume when it's working, and then both instruments drop to 0 and I manually adjust it to get the volume/steps back.....but then , it happens again after a few bars (sometimes less, sometimes more).
I didn't do anything other than just trying out the presets. How do I fix this?

I was looking at Renegade Mini and it says this is the 'scaled down version of it's big brother', however, I couldn't find its big brother (which supposedly came out in 2018).
Anyone see it on their site?
I also have the Creative Mixing Collection (from Plugin Boutique), but haven't installed it.....are these the 'lite' versions or full? Couldn't find any info on their website and didn't want to duplicate it on the $5 deal.

Thanks for doing this Aidan...just downloaded all your files.

Although it's Friday, it's not like being in the office and getting ready for the weekend. Oddly, I'm working harder at home than when in the office....of course, more comfortable and better food. Blessed to have a job in these times....hope all is well with you guys.
