I enjoyed playing around with it. I haven't read the manual or anything like that. Watched some of Zo's video. So since I got it I haven't made the time to really get familiar with it.
However, since this thread started I have gone back and was devoting some time to the UI. What I am finding so far is it's extremely easy to get a good beat going. And once you figure out how to 'work' that beat, it really shows great potential. And the 'working' of the beat is what I was concentrating on last time I messed with it. The timing and swing settings really work!
And to work with it in CbB was just a matter of letting XO create a user folder (where you tell it too!) and then drag the made beat into the DAW to be used there however you wish.
I haven't even scratched the surface of this thing yet. There are lots more features that I want to dive into. What I want to see is how can I get beats to evolve over time. If it turns out that this is an easy thing to do... I'd say it would almost be perfect for creating new beats!!!
[edit] Of course I could just throw Tantra in the fx bin of the beat trk and then it will evolve!! : )
When I have some time, I'd really like to get all my acoustic drum samples in 1 folder and try to use that for my rock creations. One thing for sure is whatever you put into XO, it just sounds excellent. I've been using XO with EZ Drummer together and got some very nice results.
Would be fantastic if XLN could put a feature in to add all the Addictive drum samples in XO. It certainly has a lot of potential and I need to spend more time learning to use it.

ProAudioStar also has 5% more off sale items using JULY5 in cart. Roughly $95 each for the two advanced upgrades (and Ozone qualifies all the way back to v5).
Now he tells me....I could've got in on that VST Buzz deal for €1 each x 3.

Can it read read EZ files? I guess not, as it is propietary.Any lib you recommend using it with? I can see the potential...
I really like it and do use it. I have a samples folder with 65+ GB 's of sounds and it's a lot of fun using them with XO.
Checkout https://samplesfrommars.com/ for some great content (I got the bundle "All the samples from mars"). They have deals/sales very often and you can get this dirt cheap.

Yes indeed! Can you use Elastik with your own samples or only the Ueberschall stuff?
I don't think so ZT...I believe it uses proprietary files, however, you can export them as .wav files.

So did you go for it?
I let it pass, again, for the 3rd time.
I was actually able to get some good tones out if (watched some Utube vids) and also got that tone I wanted in the previous page on this thread (got the preset from Line 6 forums). However, had some issues with the Demo after 2 days (had to disable my internet connection , start the DAW, and then plug in the internet cable for it to get back online). THEN, I was able to play for another day, and got this error (VST3 as well as VST2):
Uninstalled/reinstalled etc...no luck. Possibly just a demo issue, IDK. Put in a trouble ticket last Friday, but haven't hear back yet....if they can resolve this and I won't have any issues, I'm willing to test it a bit further and/or may buy it. Helix does have the ability to get great tones, but it does need some tweaking to get there. Of course, it shouldn't be crashing my system in the process...lol.
Still on the fence...

Bapu's truly a good guy and there's a whole lot of stuff he does that's unbeknownst (had to look up that spelling) to most peeps. Of course, in a good way.

I have the original 750 pro and really liked them for a good 10 years. I still have them, but one side has lost it's sound (possibly a loose connection) and I ended up buying Audio Technica's M50x.
The 750's were very detailed/accurate especially in the mid-high range and wasn't very bass heavy as the ATM50's. I was using them solely for recording/mixing and found them to be well balanced. The ATM50's does sound more pleasant to the ear, but don't quite represent the mix correctly. Not sure how good the newer 750i's are, but I imagine they should be very good considering the quality parts/testing they put into their head phones.
Not sure if I should get a new pair of 750i's (not that I need it) or fix my old set.....decisions, decisions.

Taupe is a very good one. Yes, it does have a lot of knobs with a matching price tag.

I demoed it but it didn't pass my rather rigorous "instant gratification" test.
But I think a knob twiddler could get somewhere with it eventually.
That's about how I found it as well.
Craig Anderton however, gave a good review.....but then again, he's definitely a knob twiddler. Looks like I would have to spend a bit of time to get the tone I want. That being said, some of the presets did sound pretty good straight off the bat, and others were just meh.

That's a week of my time and $199 I'll never get back.
Lol...what didn't you like about it?

Been demoing this for a few days and for the most part, do like how it sounds. There seems to be a lot of tweaking possibilities and I've only just scratched on the surface.
Those of you that own this, would like to hear your opinions/thoughts on it as well as if it every goes on sale.

How do you get $209? do you have a qualifying product for a lower normal price?
Yeah, I do have POD Farm Platinum (sorry, forgot to mention that). Just downloaded the demo and will give it a go.

Liked that! Listened a few times too. Will have to go off and find the album I figure! ?
It's also been a lot fun to just jam with this video (as well as backing tracks) and use the free version of this: https://www.vb-audio.com/Voicemeeter/banana.htm to play YouTube vids while using my audio card for the amp sim. .... (did a lot of that when my projects drive crashed).

I checked out the Specs of the AXE I/O and my Clarett and they are pretty much the same, same dynamic range etc. I've been curious about the AXE I/O since release, but never bothered because I have been extremely happy with the Clarett.
Anyway, I have been checking the Line6 forums for people wanting to sell, no luck yet, but I've almost convinced myself to pull the trigger before the sale ends. First I am going to download the demo again and see what I think this time, if it's a good impression taking into account everything else I have I'll grab it, if not . . . well no harm.
I'm in the same boat as you and going to test the demo properly....I think there's a bit of tweaking involved to get it right and hopefully, I'll find the way to do this.
It's $209 USD with the coupon code....tempting.
