  1. I have R2, it requires iLok but you can use the desktop license manager. The only software I have to use the dongle for is Slate. Rocky

  4. F.w.w... the crossgrade is $149. If you have enough and can use jam points it can be had for $100. Rocky
  5. I purchased S1 so all of my eggs weren't in one basket. I've been using Sonar since it came out. I didn't want to get left holding the proverbial bag and thought it would be wise to learn another daw. Turns out S1 fits my work flow nicely, the project page puts it over the top for me. I still use CBB from time to time but S1 is my main squeeze. Rocky

    Softube Tape $39

Get Tape – Get Money Off – Get Reel Working on music in a computer is awesome. We all love it. The convenience, the clarity, the speed from one idea to the next. But sometimes we miss the rough, rich, creamy, human warmth of imperfection that analog gear brought. That's why we made Tape – a plug-in which (via our industry-leading component modelling and physical modelling technologies) emulates not one but three vintage tape machines. Glue your tracks together with the subtle saturation, compression, and tone-shaping inherent in the all-analog medium of Tape. And this weekend only, do it for just $39. That's a whopping 60% off! Don't miss out – Tape just $39 today! Offer valid until September 1st, 2019. May not be combined with any other offer. https://www.softube.com/tape?utm_source=Softube+Newsletter&utm_campaign=2cd447ed77-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2019_08_22_11_50_COPY_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_97a92143ea-2cd447ed77-33899565#/

Supported Plug-in formats (64-bit): VST 2, VST 3, AAX.
  9. Thanks Peter. This is what I read after my purchase: Yes, loyal users can use their JamPoints when purchasing from the IK Online Store. JamPoints can also be used in the Custom Shop providing the payment is not made with Gear Credits. I made my payment with gear credits in the custom shop. Rocky
  10. I screwed up and bought an item from the custom shop with gear credits. I guess I should have read the fine print. You can purchase with gear credits in the online store but not in the custom shop. This excludes me from the group buy over $6.50....ouch! I'm out. Rocky

    Lenovo P52

I've read about the bricking issue and Lenovo said that it's been resolved. I thought the thunderbolt issue is with the docking station. I haven't read about a latency issue but I disqualified the Dell XPS because of continuing doc latency issues.

Thanks Zo. I was hoping you would reply. Ed, the 9th generation Intel processors are out. This is a Black Friday in July deal. My wife took over my Dell for her job search so there is a need indeed. See what I did there. ? Thanks for the input.

    Lenovo P52

Hi guys, Lenovo has the P52 on sale. I can get one with an i7 8750H, 512gb m.2 and 16gb of ram for $1169. I'm looking to replace my old Dell Studio 15. Should I pull the trigger. I would post a link to the Lenovo site but I'm on an old iPad and it's a pita. Thanks. Rocky
  14. My first post here will be a Happy New year wish to Larry as well. Rocky
