Loops De La Creme 50% OFF Storewide - Summer Sale Now On!
fret_man replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
Easy Guiro is mine! I haven't found any other flexible guiro instruments. Most of them come with samples of fixed strokes.- 1 reply

Hmmm, no longer for sale and Wayback Machine doesn't seem to help.

Google "concertina vsti" and you'll find lots of concertina virtual instruments suitable for Cakewalk.

No. It is DAW-agnostic. As mentioned before, I export the Finale score to MIDI and then drag/import that into the DAW. Be sure to turn off "human playback" in Finale if you want quantized MIDI. I find that helpful because Finale doesn't export all the articulations, like trills, so these have too be added manually. For me, it's much easier to edit the MIDI if it starts quantized. But if I make edits to the notes/timing, I have to manually go back and insert those changes back into Finale.

Oh, right. Sorry. I forgot the link didn't I?

Presonus Studio One 6.2.1 released - probably not a deal

I usually use my normal notation program (Finale in my case) and export MIDI from that. I can then click drag the MIDI into an empty Studio One track and there it all is!- 20 replies

Musical Sampling Hoard Mandolin | $99 | New Release
fret_man replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
Wow! This one sounds really good to my ears. It'll give OTS a run for its money. Their YouTube playthru doesn't really expose their tremolo very well. That would be important to me. -
I'm not sure what you mean by "stand-alone" plugins but I love those VSTis that use a custom interface. They can optimize the playability of the instrument that way. Amplesound's interface and engine is quite nice.

Hmm, 20% is not very impressive.

Still waiting for proper MPE implementation. I'd love to use my Jamstik w/ Amplesound in Studio One, but Studio One doesn't receive the MPE MIDI correctly. I've already submitted the request.- 20 replies

OK, dig up your backup files. The point being that you can find the Rapture installer wherever you have your old Sonar installers. Maybe I should have said that instead.

Regarding headphones, these SENNHEISER HD 6XX from Massdrop are notoriously comfortable and sound really good with little ear fatigue. Highly recommended.

Same...

64bit Rapture came with SonarX2, X3 and Platinum. Dig up those disks and install only Rapture.

The OTS mandolin is the best one out there. It's a little too raspy for my taste (as if the action was too low) so I adjust the dynamics to not allow velocity over 50%. And the tremolo is tempo-locked (which is way too slow for slow tunes), but it otherwise sounds gorgeous. Very good for bluegrass/folk. Nice articulations. I haven't found anything else close (been waiting on you, Amplesound).

I have quite a few bodhran VI's and Red Room's is, by far, the best one in my opinion. There are separate controls for both hands so you can control where the striker hits as well as where the dampening/tuning occurs. Plus, there are quite a few drum sizes to choose from. Very well thought out and very flexible. I have lots of fun with this one.

Does anyone use this and willing to post a short review?

Melodyne can do this.

That is pretty darn cool!

Where is it? I went to Waves Central and didn't see any updates for my Mercury installation.
