I’m thinking to get the four Tapies, plus Amplitube Orange, Jimi, Slash, and maybe Darrell. Talk me out of it, will someone?

Darrel is my next freebie...then Fulltone...maybe...

They will probably extend it and then add another tier.

If I could afford I'd get the Axe I/O and be able to get anything on that list.   Buying a $99 product limits your extra choices after the tape collection.  Most like anything else in that price range one would have. I already have a lot of that stuff from the previous group buy.

The Fender 2 deal will get you anything except Lurssen....and it's actually less than half price...

Remnant is a digital audio effect designed for experimenting with echos of sonic fragments through dense soundscapes and sharp glitches. Remnant fills an analogue tape-inspired delay line with its input signal while two independent grain engines, operating in parallel, draw fragments of sound from the delay line. The two engines feedback both into themselves and into each other, creating concentrated and constantly varying patterns in time and in space. Remnant also features a fully vector, resizable interface that pushes the boundaries of traditional audio plugin design.

    True.

Yet the Total Studio Max upgrade is regularly on sale for $299.

So if the next bundle includes all the latest, even though I have lots of IK stuff already, it would upgrade my SampleTank from 4SE to Max and add Modo as well as some smaller things like the four Tape emus I haven’t got yet.

Again, I have to agree with you, Lars, it would add up to pretty much the same.

And on top of that I would upgrade to the bundle with Gear Credits, which would mean I can’t resell anything if needed.

I don't think that IK allows the use of Gear Credits for the Max Bundles Fleer...just FYI

  8. The prevailing problem with "Jampoints" is the system.  If you buy something, you get
points, but, if, and when, you sell it, they take them back, regardless of how long after
the purchase you sell.  For example, if you buy Amplitube, you get X Jampoints.  2 years
from now you sell it.  They take those Jampoints back.  This can actually set you into a
NEGATIVE Jampoints balance, and until you purchase enough to get you back above
    0, you're just SOL.

I currently have a -6 Jampoints balance, and I've recently purchased the Tape Collection,
and bought into the group buy!  I was down to like -30 at one point.  IMO, they should limit
that "take back" to if you sell within 1 year of purchase.  After you've owned it for over a
year, they shouldn't be taking them back.

  9. $5

  10. That half price deal is what pulled me off the fence.
I was EXTREMELY hesitant on buying Lurssen, and
was going to wait till the end of the month if I did, but getting in on this for
what I did was a no brainer!  That's one of the reasons
I went to look for it this morning, and when I put either one in my cart, they
were showing full price. . .so that put me back on the waiting list.  But, when
you said it was still half price, and I checked again, I didn't hesitate, if the
advent that it may have been pulled own again!

I really didn't want Lurssen, and would have sold
it later on.  I was just going to buy it to get all the things that I didn't have.

  11. IMO...the group buys are the best way.  The reason being is that
the "Max" products only include everything up to "X" date.  Anything
after that you don't get, and have to buy, so it's really not an "everything"
package like Waves Mercury, where you get anything new released, other
than the Abbey Road products, and some other minor stuff....
AND the 'out of pocket" will be more, even when they are on sale,
    but that's just IMO.

  12. This got me Mesa, which I had sold, both Leslies (Collection), and Amplitube 4,
which I had also sold.  I also get Fullton and Dime Bag and I'll have everything...
and still will NOT have the "Max" Designation...for either Amplitube, T-Racks,
or SampleTank....but, whatever...I'm not paying TOP DOLLAR for the word "Max"!?

  13. 7 minutes ago, Grem said:

Larry didn't you get in on the last Total Max sale? I am almost positive I got the Modo Bass with that.

I did buy MODO Bass at one point, but then sold it because of all the other basses I had
to fill those spots.  I'll get it again when the price is right!

  14. Well...I bought a second copy of Fender 2 to get into the group
buy, because that's half the price of Lurssen at $133 at JRR with
the GROUP discount.  That will get me everything I don't have
In the Amplitube series, and a few others...

    I'll off Fender 2 later...

That means the only things that I won't have are the MODO's,
which I'm not even concerned about...
