  1. Hi Treesha. It does take a bit of time to clean up from one hurricane and even more time from two. Thanks for your kind comments and I'm glad that you liked the song. I would never be mean to my guitars -- after all they do most of the work 😀.
  2. Hi Bapu. Thanks very much for taking the time to listen and for your kind comments. I just got done listening to your recent post. Most impressive indeed!
  3. Hey Nigel. Thanks for listening and your kind comments. I have been trying to catch up with listening to your posts on this forum and as always they are most impressive!
  4. Hi Amberwolf. Thanks for your comments. It does take a while to recover from events such as you described and hurricanes. It has been a year since we experienced the two hurricanes in a row and my sister's condo complex is still working on some repairs. I appreciate your insight on the timing. I do have a problem with timing that seems incurable. Whenever I do Bluesy or Bluesabilly stuff I try and inject that loose style of the early electric blues guys (e.g., Jimmy Reed, Sonny Boy Willimson II, Lazy Lester, etc.). They can pull it off but unfortunately I can't seem to do it. Oh well, maybe if I keep trying I'll finally get it? Thanks again.
  5. You all have outdone yourself. The story line to this song is great and the music complements it very well. of course the performances ,mix, vocals, etc. are very well done. Excellent work guys!!

Excellent composition and as usual your playing is excellent. I enjoyed the listen.
  7. Very entertaining and creative indeed!! Lyrics, vocals, music and video all complement each other very well. Great work!
  8. Not a big fan of Michael Jackson but I really like this version of the song. The reggae touch was brilliant. Of course (as always) the mix, performances, instrumentation, vocals, etc. were very well done! The narration at the end was also a nice touch. Terrific work by all!!
  9. To use a hackneyed metaphor, life is a bit like the stock market there are highs and lows and then the rest of the time. Thanks for sharing the force. I need a bit of a jump start. Thanks very much for commenting -- I appreciate it. BTW - l love the recent songs that you have posted (eg. 6 and four, etc.)
  10. What a delightful song. Composition, performances, arrangement, lyrics, etc. were excellent. Well done!!!
  11. Hi Nigel. As always, this is excellent on all fronts (performances, lyrics , mix, etc.). The matching of the music and the visual is also excellent. Creatively, technically, performances, etc. are all outstanding! I hope your sales are doing well.
  12. Absoflippinlutely outstanding. Some excellent acoustic work and arrangemen - but it all is excellent!
  13. Not unimaginative at all. Another happy, entertaining and imaginative piece from you. I love the initial sound that carries the through the song - while the instrumentation, accents, etc. keep the song alive and interesting. Great stuff pal!!
  14. This is a very soulful Jazz/Blues song. There is absolutely nothing to not like this song. The Performance, instrumentation, lyrics, performance mix are all excellent The vocals are outstanding! Well done!!!

What a captivating piece! This really has an edge to It and held my attention throughout. It has a very large cinematic sound and would make great music for a space or Si-Fi video/movie. Being totally incompetent with MIDI, synths, etc. I am always impressed by how you can create such interesting music. Oh yes --- the title! Is it a mathematical title or is there another source of its origin? 🙂
  16. It has been a while since I have been on the forum. Things such as hurricanes, hurricane cleanup and repairs (for both my family and sisters abodes), replacement purchasing of a new car for my sister's drowned car. Further delays to non-participating in the forum included a brief flare-up of my reactive arthritis and my sister took a bad fall which required several weeks of hospitalization, rehabilitation, and home care. A lot has been posted since I was last on and I look forward to listening and commenting on as much of the new stuff as I can. I did get a bit of time to get together with Cakewalk and my guitars to come up with this song. It is a bit rough -- so I hope that you will provide crit.'s,, comments and suggestions Thanks as always. TOO COOL TO BE CRUEL https://www.soundclick.com/freddyj
  17. My last post was a song about the loss of a love. This song is a continuation of this saga where the subject of this song finds real love and it's right next door. It is silly, Bluesy, and fun. Again I am trying to emulate a wee bit of the Jimmy Reed style. I hope that you like it. As always I would appreciate any comments, crit's and comments Thanks and I hope you enjoy. HELLO MR. BYE BYE BABY

Hi Tom, Thanks much for listening and commenting. I am always grateful for your support and suggestions! Hi David. Thanks for listening and for your comments and suggestion. I do have difficulties in mixing and recording vocals. Back in the old days of the forum I was constantly encouraged to cut back on the use of reverb used on the vocals. I tend to respond with over indulgence in the extreme. I'll keep on working on it and hopefully reach a balance. Again thanks! Hey Old Joad. Thanks very much for the listen and kind comments! Hi Treesha. I love doing the 1940's -1950's style Blues. Not just because I am a Bluesahoclic but it is a fun music to play (even if you have got the blues). Thanks for your kind comments and for listening. Hey KSband. Thanks very much for listening and your kind comments. Hey Nigel. I am very glad that you liked this Bluesabilly number. As B B King once said -- even the Blues can be happy music. I really appreciate your kind words and encouragement. BTW, I really enjoyed and was impressed by your last posting! I hope the album is doing well. Hi Steve. Thanks much for the input and kind words. ( bit of trouble on the double tracking ? Yes indeed! I love playing but recording and mixing is not my strength. I'll blame it all on my growing up listening to all those scratchy, LoFi R & B and Blues numbers.🫠 Thanks again. Hi Bjorn. Other than the need for some musical skills , I think that my use of loop/clips for drums gives me problems. I have tried the Cakewalk drums, addictive drums, and others. However to me they just don't sound like the acoustic drums that you might hear in a small club venue. You know -- the kind of place that you would go to to hear some good local Blues. Although, I'm sure those MIDI type drums would probably help my timing. BTW I enjoyed your recent post with video!
  19. I almost missed your post. This was a fun post to listen and watch. It sounds as if you had fun doing this. Well done!!!
  20. I too must join the list of those who have not seen the show. I must say i did enjoy what have posted here. Well done!
  21. This is a great song. I wish I could only handle a slide as good as you are playing on this song. The performances are great, the mix is good, and you have captured that swampy sound of the South.
  22. I agree with the above --- this is a good song. I particularly liked the interplay between the guitars panned L and R. Nice one!
  23. Wonderful piece of work --- musically and visually. Thanks for posting the captions naming the various nebula, galaxies etc. This would make great music for one of my favourite TV series -- How the universe Works!

    Road Trip

Hi Bjorn. Gary is right. You always create wonderful sounds. This piece sets up a laid back, peaceful atmosphere while adding in happiness as well. Great work pal!
  25. I wasn't sure about this song when it first started. As it played further It started to grow on me. So -- I listened again and it captured me. This is really a very interesting song. and very well done. The instrumentation really sets a mood. The lyrics deliver the message and the vocals (perfect -- not over sold) complement the whole performance. The mix sounds very good. Excellent work!!
