    Not sure if the bug is new. Someone mentioned it to me and I verified it was there. As for working outside the PRV, I'm fairly certain it's also supposed to work on MIDI in the Track view, but I could be wrong.

    Press J for Scrub tool. Trying to scrub MIDI track attached to VST synth. For scrubbing MIDI it only seems to work in the Piano Roll view. In the Track view, you only get silence. Also, if you try scrubbing in the Track view first and then do it in the PRV, you get the silence again. If you don't scrub MIDI in the Track view at all and just do it in the PRV, it seems to work. Definitely looks like a bug.

    As a workaround, you can right-click the parameter and choose Automation Snapshot to create an envelope for that parameter. Then double-click the envelope with the Smart Tool to switch to automation editing for that parameter. -- Scott R.
