  1. " the infamous Bapu Am or as we know it the bluses scale. " I incorrectly stated the phase above. How could I make such a blunder! It came out backwards........SSSTTTUUUPPIIDDD! .....the shame..... I regret it but can't take it back. All I can do is say it like I meant it. The Am blues scale or as we know it the famous Bapu Scale I know this doesn't appease my dumbolocity but does relieve my guilt although so very slightly. So I conclude by saying oh please please forgive me Bapu thank you very much good day
  2. The technique I learned by watching George Benson back in the 70's was his mastery of pentatonic scales over different chord types. He used mostly the infamous Bapu Am or as we know it the blues scale. Now to the technique. Playing 2 notes on one open string then 2 notes on an other open adjacent string alternating slowly and steadily between the 2. Not a left hand in the exercise at all unless you're left handed. This is NOT a speed exercise at all but a control exercise. Start with the smaller strings then go to the heavier strings. Do this for about 3 minutes a couple or three times a day for a few months. Once it becomes easy as eating Becan then and only then speed up the process. This is done in 3 stages 1) Start with down stroke on the first note and an upstroke on the second then repeat on an adjacent string, alternating the 2 strings. Do this for the first month or so 2) Start with an upstroke on the first note and a downstroke on the second then repeat on an adjacent string, alternating. Do this for the next month or so 3) Practice 1 and 2 above together on adjacent strings Slowly increase the speed faster and faster over time Apply the above to any 2 notes of the A Pentatonic scale at the 5th fret Listen for it on this following video
  3. really easy way to cut through the mix
  4. by staring at this Then bending it in half. Then realizing I used all the Becan for the shell then stuffing it with stuff on the floor. Yellow and green stuff with some red stuff thrown in
  5. I have stated I was unappreciated in another fred but I haven't said why. My masterpiece
  6. Thanks for responding! No my Audient iD14 broke down and I've just been opening new projects to practice or jam with. I did recently update windows. I'm also using my POD HD500x till my Audient comes back Frustrating trying to down a backing track and all of a sudden the pc is rebooting
  7. I go into my DAW and do what I always do. I start playing with a drum synth then record a bass line with it and jam. Today my pc stopped for about 10 seconds and rebooted. It happened 3 times. I've never seen this before. Has anyone else ran into this? There's something about a stop code then a countdown then reboot Very frustrating when I just want to play
  8. That's where I found out in Airplane he wasn't acting
  9. I was incredibly lucky and got to hang out with Leslie Nielsen one afternoon in the late 80's at a hotel in Tulsa . We rode the elevator up and down just to harass people. He had a whoopee cushion with him so we went into the bar and there he picked the best looking woman in the place and went sat down beside her, first placing the cushion in a strategic location and slowly sitting down. After the initial sound was complete he looked at her calmly and said "excuse me". She gave him a disgusted look, got up and walked away. I almost choked to death laughing
