Trippy man. Can't comment on the mix , I'm listening on crummy phone ear buds.

I just listened again and am even more impressed with your song. It must have been a lot of work with all those changes. It may be more the sound of the kit, I think I like an old school natural sound. Not a fan of clicky kick drums and percussive compressed snare. This a very popular sound now. That is totally a personal preference thing, don't pay any attention to me you did a great job.

After listening to this some more I feel like the mix needs some work. Too much reverb maybe? Too much bass? Any suggestions?

I don't know if the flute added anything. It sounds like a keyboard, needs to be more organic sounding and maybe playing off the melody. Great track, still loving it.

I was waiting for the crashing drums to come in, it sounds like it wants to build up to a climax. Nice groove.

It reminds me of Dark side of the moon, has that moody feel.

That's quite a dense production, very good work! Agree the string arrangement is cool. Only tiny niggle for me is the drums sound a bit mechanical.

Nice song and good playing too.

Wow, really enjoyed listening to this! With my headphones on the guitars seem to dance around the top of my head. Very clean sounding recording and great playing. I think it's pretty perfect as is. If I were to add anything to it I think a flute solo would wound sound nice in there. Outstanding man.

Thanks Freddy!

I'm using Jamstix with the percussion add on. It works OK for some things but it kind of sounds the same, not very versatile.

Not my style at all but well done pop track for sure.

Miguel, thanks for the suggestions. Larry, Jobim is my inspiration for sure, love his stuff. Also Russ Freeman of the Rippingtons did some beautiful work with his nylon string that makes me want to try to emulate.

I have some free wav files that have worked well on a song or two but they didn't work on a slower tempo, just sounded awful. Looking for suggestions of how to get some good sounding bongos, congas, timbales, shakers etc. onto my tracks.

I think it sounds really good, I might increase the bass just very slightly again but I like a big bottom. Nice work.

Made some subtle changes to the mix. Slight EQ to guitars to brighten a bit. Slight decrease in reverbs. Changed to simpler drum fills and brought down the intro snare.
