  1. "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Studio Instruments" is data folders of Studio Instruments. .dll files are in each plugin name folder in "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins". and this path is default VST scan path. So Studio Instruments should be scanned automatically when Cakewalk startup if you are using default settings. If it's not still appearring as VST instruments, click "Scan" or "Reset" and then "Scan" at VST Settings in the prefference.
  2. You should hold pressing Shift key until dropping is finish.
  3. <-||-> S cursor issue. I don't know when is this happened. It may be from 2019.07, not 2019.09. When press Ctrl+Shift+A or Shift+ESC to clear selection, seems Now time location at the time is set to "Selection handle position" as ghost. So <-||-> S cursor appears at that location (even if changing Now time) and it's in the way because that location is unclickable until making new selection.
  4. Seems holding Alt + single left click in empty area creates a new note. Right click a note is works as eraser.
  5. @Noel Borthwick If last activated date is displayed in About Cakewalk window, we may be relieved. Like this... "Free- Activated by BandLab Assistant (2019/10/11)"

    Going from X1 studio

You should just install the latest Cakewalk by BandLab. Do not uninstall your sonar X1 studio and installed plugins (handle alike sonar platinum) to use plugins came with old sonar on Cakewalk by BandLab. If I remember correctly, Cakewalk by BandLab installer can take over most settings of old sonar while installing. and some sonar shared folder will be overwrote.
  7. Latest version is 2019.09 BUILD 70.
  8. Ah sorry, I was misunderstanding. Maybe, you are talking about location of displaying progress box of loading instruments samples etc. while loading project, right?
  9. @Noel Borthwick Please share a list of the optimized points (settings) what you did on that old PC.
  10. To move the window which is out of screen as temporarily workaround. Get focus that window with holding "Ctrl+Shift" and pressing "Tab" key required times. Press "Alt+Space" to get menu and then press "M" key to get into window moving mode. Now you can move the window with cursor keys and then that window will be glued to mouse cursor moving. so left click at where you need to exit window moving mode.
  11. The link is personalized to you, @cclarry
  12. @MusicMan11712 (aka Dr. Steve) @scook Thank you for your information!
  13. And it seems there are also these files in "C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core". I don't know which ones are used in Cakewalk actually. Does anyone know? Does this mean it was changed from ProgramData to Users folder?
  14. @Chuck E Baby First, really sorry for misleading with my bad English. Yes, of course I know that. Just wanted to mention about added shortcut SHIFT+ESC because he is using CTRL+SHIFT+A as other behavier. and... I don't like using SHIFT+ESC. BTW, SHIFT+ESC is not working in PRV (It works only in Track view) as @jkoseattle said. Sorry...
  15. Now, SHIFT + ESC is works instead of CTRL + SHIFT + A.
  16. Yes, I believe normal selection is black/dark gray if with Mercury theme. If theme is set to Tungsten, it's green.
  17. As far as I know, Melodyne has been updated to version 4.2.2 on May 29. Melodyne has been updated to version 4.2.3 on August 19. So currently stable version is 4.2.3.
  18. Yes, only Pressing Alt + 3 does not shift focus to the PRV. But Alt + 3 after pressing Alt + 2 shifts focus to the PRV.
  19. Press Alt + 2 (open console) and then Alt + 3 (open PRV) It seems changing focus from track view to PRV.
  20. You can open them from 'Views' menu.
  21. Holding shift while dragging should also work.
  22. Dragging with holding Shift key is working well here.
  23. My thoughts may be an amateur idea... I guess the Windows boot image on cloned SSD from HDD does not have NVMe driver so can't boot from it.
  24. If test on standalone TH3, needs set your controller as active at "Active MIDI inputs" in Audio settings on Settings. If test on VST plugin, check "Enable MIDI input" in clicking menu the part enclosed in red on the pic below.
