    Quick open?

Safe-mode can load the project without plug-ins. To open a project in safe-mode, hold the SHIFT key while opening the project. When safe-mode starts, a dialog appears providing the opportunity to skip all plug-ins.
  2. Assuming X3 is 64bit just like CbB... Compare the VST scan path setting in preferences between X3 and CbB. If the paths are the same and plug-ins are still not showing up. Run a VST reset with generate scan log enabled. Then review the log. Also keep in mind the plug-in layouts changed considerably between X3 and CbB.
  3. The deal has a few more days to go
  4. The Event List view and PRV controller pane should provide more info about the data.
  5. While CbB will run any software and use any content bundled with 64bit SONAR, the appropriate version of SONAR may need to be installed in order to run some SONAR Platinum/Professiona;/Artist era installers.
  6. The Export module is updated once a selection is made.
  7. Selection duration is shown on the Export module. "E" on the image below
  8. Is the plug-in available to add to new projects? If so, it may be as issue with the CLSID.
  9. Run a VST reset with "generate scan log" enabled. Both options are in preferences. There may be a clue in the log.
  10. and if this is the only audio device used by Windows make sure the sample rate setting is the same in Windows and CbB.
  11. Yes this ^^^ is the method I use except I copy and paste the BBCode but since this forum adds the bbcode when pasting the direct link either method works. Click on the image in your library to see the options Alternately this url https://imgur.com/a/YHkXA7G is the page containing the image. One can get the url to the image by right-clicking the image and copying its location, in this case https://i.imgur.com/AKngnhe.jpg. When pasted into this forum displays
  12. Is BandLab Assistant installed? If so, there may be a firewall issue. If not, install it.
  13. It is not a literal hash tag in parentheses. The duplicate files have a number in parentheses at the end of the name such as Native_Access_Installer (1).zip ProducerX3ePatch (1).exe
  14. The main DAW must be connected to the internet to activate CbB. Once activated, the connection may be taken down but will need to be re-established (at least every 6 months) to renew activation.
  15. As noted above Melodyne Essentials came with SONAR X3 Producer/Studio and SONAR Platinum/Professional. If you have one of those DAWs, the Melodyne installer should be in your Celemony account, if the product was registered. CbB comes with a time limited trial version of Melodyne Editor, however; it is not part of the core install. Melodyne and a few other items have separate installed on the "Install Add-ons..." menu in BandLab Assistant. Make sure to install the VST3 plug-in. This is use by CbB for all ARA2 features - Region FX, audio to MIDI and tempo mapping.
  16. Activation requires an internet connection and happens in the background. If activation fails with the PC connected to the internet or to regain access to an old Cakewalk account contact support either through email at support@cakewalk.com or through the link in the "Cakewalk by Bandlab" menu at the top of this forum (the direct link to the new help ticket form is https://help.cakewalk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new). Do not use the support pages on the old Cakewalk site.
  17. Melodyne Assistant adds a lot of tools but lacks one important feature, it does not support polyphonic audio. May be best to save up and wait for a deal on Editor. The Melodyne feature matrix is here.
  18. BandLab Assistant has audio and MIDI loops that may be dragged into Cakewalk. I believe these are loops available in the Mix Editor.
  19. The Transpose MFX has constrain to scale and custom map options which should work as well. To record the effect in real time requires a virtual MIDI cable to connect the MIDI track hosting the plug-in to the input of the recording track. Or just add the MFX to the MIDI FX rack, set up the plug-in as needed, record with input echo enabled to hear the effect of the mapping and apply the effect after recording to change the notes in the clips.
  20. Best to provide information about the audio interface, driver mode and project sample rate being used. The interface or driver mode is not setup properly or has changed since the project's creation. Make sure the correct audio interface is selected in preferences and set the driver mode. Here is a setup guide that may help with interface and driver mode setting. Use "SONAR Platinum" as the product. If the guide recommends MME and the PC is running Win10, try the WASAPI driver mode settings. There are two ways CbB sets the sample rate for a project. If the project does not contain any audio clips, the sample rate is read from the Default Settings for New Projects - Sample Rate in preferences If the project contains audio clips, the sample rate is read from one of the audio clip headers.
  21. The installer should be in your Celemony account. It should overwrite the existing copy of Essential as there can be only one Melodyne install on a PC. Make sure to install the VST3 plug-in. This is used for ARA2 in CbB. The stand alone and VST2 are optional.
  22. No, the bundled Sonitius Suite has always been integrated into the main DAW installer.
  23. No but it will try to go online if possible. At least, that is how the paid version works. I have not tried the freebie. My guess is the free one works the same. Doubt they would create a special engine to run the free version. May be worth checking with support or their forum.
  24. There are two button sets Smart Tool - used when all menu items are enabled Smart Tool (customized) - used when some items are not enabled This is the one used when the menu does not all have items enabled. When running a custom theme it is impossible to say what the screen will look like without seeing how the buttons are defined in the theme editor.
  25. Take a look at each synths version of a saw wave in J-Scope or your favorite oscilloscope.
