  1. The optional dll was for Quicktime video support in the DAW. Other than that, nothing shipped with SONAR that used it. Of course, it was 32bit only because Apple never ported the Windows dll to 64bit. Don't recall when it was discontinued in SONAR. My guess is X1. I moved to 64bit with X1 so I cannot say for sure when they stopped including the dll.
  2. Does not matter Renaming ttsseq.ini just like aud.ini and cakewalk.ini is a way to keep the original file (in case there is a setting you may need to add) while letting the DAW rebuild the file the next time it is started.
  3. Instead of removing the driver, try disabling the device in the Windows device manager
  4. Try ripple edit, here is a similar thread (except about delete instead of insert)
  5. Try renaming TTSSEQ.ini in your user directory. For CbB the default location for the user directory is %appdata%\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core.
  6. Cakewalk by BandLab includes some FX chains from SONAR which reference plug-ins not bundled with CbB. These two came from Project 5 and were included with quite a few versions of SONAR, however; they are not available at this time. For a complete listing of what CbB includes see this.
  7. From Use the Uninstall menu option in BA to uninstall Cakewalk, then the Open button will change to allow re-install.
  8. Both DAWs share quite a few files. It makes no sense to have multiple copies of the same plug-ins. By default TTS-1 installs in "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared DXi\TTS-1" There are several other "Shared" folders under "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk" that both DAWs use. For GM, I use TTS-1. Never needed to look for another plug-in.
  9. Both DAWs use the same copy of TTS-1 so if it does not work in SONAR, it makes sense that it would not work in CbB too. I am guessing the DAWs were installed after the Win10 upgrade. If not, the Windows upgrade may have messed with the registry. If this is the case, I would consider re-install both DAWs starting with Platinum.
  10. SONAR Platinum has not been available since Oct 2017. Is this the first time you have tried TTS-1? This can happen when install fails but there are error message displayed during the install. May want to ask support@cakewalk.com. This is normal. Most ASIO drivers have a fixed bit depth.
  11. The only thing bundled for AD2 in Platinum are instructions and an activation code. The XLN installer is only available from the XLN site. Once AD2 is activated, installations are managed in your XLN account. While a Melodyne installer is included with Platinum, the latest installer is in your Celemony account. Both XLN and Celemony permit 2 concurrent installations. If you are not going to use the old PC, you may want to take the machine out of your account on their sites.
  12. If versioning is enabled, depending on what has happened since that last good version, it may be possible to revert to something a little better. I usually set up preferences to version by the clock only and set changes to zero so that excessive changes to not overwrite versions too fast.
  13. Could be input echo is not enabled on the track. Category tags are a VST3 feature. Other formats do not have this feature. When category support was added to the DAW, the developers added quite a few DX and VST2 plug-ins to the database where this information is stored. When a plug-in cannot supply category information, the scanner looks in the database. I believe Amplitude 4 was released after this database was built so the VST2 may not be in the database. Plug-ins that have no category information are placed in the Uncategorized folder. It is possible to modify a plug-in's category assignment(s). Here is the help page.
  14. No special action is needed by the user regardless of the version already installed. BandLab Assistant will download and install the full version of CbB when it detects a version that cannot be updated with the smaller update release. IOW, BandLab always updates to the latest production release with which ever installer (full or update) it deems appropriate.
  15. BandLab Assistant has nothing to do with the Early Access program. Here is more info on how the Early Access program works.
  16. My guess is you are thinking about R-Mix SONAR which was bundled with SONAR X2 Producer.
  17. That is what I thought, my post was intended as a reply to the post made by @Heinz Hupfer immediately before my post. I should have quoted it.
  18. I checked several language settings - it appears the localization work has not been done for this early release. Early release preferences only updated in the English version.
  19. Updated Launch Pad - see OP for link Fixed bug - failing to run as administrator from menu
  20. I see some additions items were added to the OP after I posted. Install ALL of SONAR Platinum. Preferably before CbB. You may want to defer adding an advanced install of SONAR 7 until you encounter a plug-in missing from a project. If 32bit SONAR and Cakewalk plug-ins were used, chances are there will be some 32bit DX plug-in which were never ported to 64bit in the projects. If this is the case, consider adding a 32bit install of Platinum to ease migration to 64bit. A plug-in history of SONAR Producer/Platinum may be found in this thread Melodyne Essential should be installed using the installer from your Celemony Account XLN also has their own installer. It should be used to add AD2. The latest versions of Dim Pro, Rapture Classic (v1.22), their expansion packs and Rapture Session are all in Cakewalk Command Center. Install Rapture Session after DIm Pro and Rapture Classic. These are the latest versions of these synths. They are are not part of CbB. Installing Beatscape is a personal choice. I skipped it. Aside from being 32bit, it was buggy. The Beatscape content was repackaged in X2/3 as Loops and One Shots. Most of the "Additional Content" is redundant. Installing the last version of SONAR should be adequate. Install any bonus items as you see fit. Often they were added to the Cakewalk accounts.
  21. Updated Launch Pad see OP for link New features - save/restore "Shared Utilities" CW130Auto.dll
  22. If you have Platinum, you have an SSO account. If you cannot remember your password, contact support@cakewalk.com. They can help you re-gain access to your account. There are several threads about installing on new machines such as There is a clean uninstall for CbB documented in a couple of threads but it is not necessary if CbB was installed before SONAR. Just uninstall CbB using BandLab Assistant, run the SONAR installer(s) then re-install CbB.
  23. SONAR installers are the same whether on disk or downloaded. Installers from X3 and older have an advanced install option to select plug-ins to install. Since CbB is 64bit, select the 64bit option on the SONAR installer. IIRC, this option happens before the basic/advanced install option. SONAR Platinum installers are different. Some of them require SONAR Platinum be installed to run. The current recommendation from BandLab is install all of Platinum before CbB. If you want V-Vocal, it requires a minimal installation of X2 Producer or older. This should be done before installing Platinum. Personally, I stopped with an advanced install of X1 Producer Expanded. If you want the Lexicon Pantheon you will need an advanced install of 8.5 Producer. How far back one restores depends on the plug-ins used by the projects to be opened. That said, the sequence of installs does not matter except when actually installing the DAW, advanced installs to get plug-ins can happen any time. When trying to open very old projects made with 32bit DX plug-in will require a 32bit version of SONAR. This may happen any time because it does not affect CbB.
  24. I believe you are thinking of "Directory Junctions" There is a command line tool in Windows called mklink.exe to do this. To create a junction Move the folder to the new location Open a command window (it usually helps run the command window as administrator) and type mklink /j [old folder location] [new folder location] For example, to move C:\Cakewalk Content to E: after moving the folder from C to E issue the command mklink /j "c:\cakewalk content" "e:\cakewalk content" Of course, the folder could be named anything on E: There are lengthy discussions about this on the old forum using Google search for site:forum.cakewalk.com mklink
  25. Or add the new synth with just its audio track(s) and route the existing MIDI track(s) to the new synth. This is most easily done with insert methods that use the Insert Soft Synth Options dialog which is every method mentioned here except the Add Track menu. The Insert Soft Synth Options dialog is also used when dragging a synth from the plug-in browser.
