I made this with Bogrens April 1st fart samples. Keep in mind, we were under a very strict lockdown at the time? (Full track is available on the channel for those interested)

Haha! I said the same 10 years ago when I bought my first Mac. Windows (8 at the time) wasn’t worth the hassle. But still, I did enjoy putting the three or four systems I built together when all the kinks in the hardware was ironed out. The problem was that I always looked for ways to perfect it. Not anymore though, can’t upgrade a Mac and you can’t afford it after buying one either ?

Interesting thread and congrats on the new system(s). Made me miss the time when I built my own computers actually. It was fun and cost effective?? but I just ordered the Mac Studio and I have to say, I’m looking forward to start using it without having to assemble it first?

You have to reinstall Sonar that had the plugins you want in CbB. But I think you can run the installer and only select the things you want, e.g plug-ins but not main software -IIRC. It’s been a while since I looked into this.

I wish I had that 15 years ago or so!!! I will keep an eye on this - and start a new band ??

I just picked up a new license for this at Thomann for €398. Seems to be a sale until June 26th. So no BBCSO for me, but I think this will be pretty darn cool! edit: they didn’t charge taxes and it’s a download so looks like I only paid €331 ?

The Rhino is a monster!! I have the iOS version. Will be picking up this one??

Sprigs are still good ? I’m one bad decision away from investing in the BBC. Do they do sales on that?
-
I love a good Sprig

Been testing the trial version for a week. It’s interesting for some plug and play action and it sounds great. For me it’s of little use but I know some guitar players who’ll love this plug.

Too many knobs on his effects…

Well, now I have it. No tax at Thomann so it was way too cheap to let it pass ?

I don’t need more drums…. I might need this, tho. Best price I’ve ever seen on progressive foundry!
-
If it was $99 it would be on my hard drive already. Nice instrument, though.

I got the Soldano and I am in Love❤️ Had the Gojira from before (a tone monster) and I really like these amp sims.

Yeah, it’s not that much gentler on the resources, if at all, since I first got it as far as I can see. But I have a Twin quad and an Octo satellite plus a powerful computer. I never hit the ceiling on my system because of this one. However, I use this a lot on as an insert when recording so the effect is printed on the audio, and maybe on a bus or three when mixing mostly. Wouldn’t be without it, though.

I did that and regret nothing. And that Distressor is great! It is one of my favorite go to weapons for awesomeness.

Glad to hear you’re getting some results, Larry ? I haven’t used it enough yet as I just got Cubase and I’m still finishing up stuff in Logic. But seems like there’s no difference here in performance. I’m on an Intel Mac, however. I assisted on some mixing in a friends studio the other day, who is a long time user, and he is also very happy with 12 on a PC. Uses MIDI remote and all kinds of stuff in it

I bought it directly from Steinberg

Been working in 12 all night. Only Found a few GUI glitches (on a Mac), but other than that it’s been rock solid and new features are gold. I really like it! I think I will abandon Logic as soon as I’m done with all my projects in it. For those of you who struggle to get the upgrade, it’ll be worth the wait. I promise! I hope you get it sorted out very soon, though? BTW: I just got my license in November as a competitive cross grade, so new to Cubase sort of. I’ve been working with dialogue to video (dubbing/versioning/VO/animatics) for years and years in Nuendo at a high end studio and never done music in it before. Gotta say, wish I’d jumped on the Cubase wagon a long time ago.

I love the Cremona Quartet!

Wow, that’s actually quite interesting
