I certainly agree with that! đ Thatâs why the first one I got was the SD+ with the four dials. I use one for jog, one for volume on selected tracks, one for pan and the last one for zooming in the project in Cubase and Logic. One swipe on the screen and they control sends. Buttons changes things like snap value and grid on/off, opening the UAD console etc. The SD6 I have opens and closes plugin windows instead of that tedious clicking with the mouse, opening close mixer, channel strips, some transport and so forth. Itâs kind of neat. They are what you make them into I guessđ

That is pretty much what I was thinking the first time I noticed them. Then I was working in a studio where theyâd set one up for repetitive tasks, which was great. And then the Stream Deck + came out and I was drooling over the dials. I got one, and then I wanted more buttons. Never looked elsewhere. But theyâre not for everyone. Check out the free version of their mobile app if you are curiousđđ

I have two, one Stream Deck+ and a 15-button mkII positioned in front of it - and I use the hell out of them both! Best and most reliable DAW controllers I have ever used. I use them for numerous applications and various types of work, even for controlling or operating several apps in the background while doing things on the app in the foreground. And easy to reconfigure as you go along and what you need them for maybe changes. I love them and think everyone should have at least one đ

Loudness Penalty Plugin - anyone using it - opinions?
projectm replied to Salvatore Sorice's topic in The Coffee House
This looks like a useful tool to me and I will probably use it just to keep an eye on things. When mixing and mastering in the good old days, you just needed to listen to the speakers. Now thereâs a ton of numbers to pay attention to and none of them makes senseđ thanks for posting about this, now I have more numbers to look at but they will probably tell me something when I need them to đđ -
Thatâs 1000+ gold stars for him. What a guy

I remember when Deals used to be a good place...

It can still be good, but everyone needs to put in an effort and not just rely on one hardworking fellow gear junkie. (p.s. I donât know what IBTL means) -
Hey buddy! Glad to see youâre still around here. 1: Damn thatâs a beautiful studio! 2: I really miss my TriggerFinger⊠3: How many Macâs do you need?? đ

I didnât even know about the Absylon for guitar. I use the Rhino on my iPad and itâs a very good plugin. They make a lot of cool stuff.

Sounds like a pretty brutal bass plugin. Also on iOS https://auroradsp.com/front-products/absylon-bass

I usually donât go around hating stuffâŠ. but when I do, Iâm hating on pandrums. Probably a nice HALion instrument, tho.

Ah, so that was what was causing it. Drove me nuts! I re-installed an earlier version, but will give this a whirl.

This update made my Cubase crash every time I close the mixer window - but not in every project. Some serious mess somewhere, so I reverted to an earlier version. Anyone else experiencing stupid behavior on a mac with this update?

I see. Thanks for that?

Whoâs saying farewell? The company of the instrument?

HmmmmmâŠ. I think itâs time to finally get my own copy of Nuendo

Awesome! Thanks, Lynn?

Thanks! This is great feedback and I absolutely agree. I appreciate you taking the time to listen and comment?

Ha ha, gotcha. He does throat singing as well (I am currently practicing it my self) and heâll be doing that on the album

Thereâs actually no words in the vocals. Joik is an emotional vocal style, I guess, and very rarely has any words. The closest he gets to any actual words is the âwah-wah-wahâ phrase he does in the choruses which represents the wolf. On a side note, Fimbulvetr, the long winter before Ragnarok, was caused by the Fenris Wolf eating the sun. But he just do this joik thing after how the song makes him feel - which to me is a very powerful way of singing. And as far as we know, it hasnât been done like this in a band setting before. Thanks for checking it out and commenting, Wookiee. I still check out your Sound Cloud when you drop something new

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, I can agree with that. It also needs a better recording of the vocals, so weâll try that next time too ? Thanks for checking it out!

Thanks, Jack!
