  1. When I first started working professionally in a studio I got a job at a facility that was using an already archaic Fairlight system. I think it was called MFX-3 or something. I was working with voice and dub for everything from documentaries to Pokemon. I absolutely hated the system and the name Fairlight still gives me a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. At the time, the MFX was 15 years old and we mixed through the Yamaha 02r, another hate object of mine. We mixed manually of course, no automation was set up - or it just didn’t work. I never found out. After a year there I quit and found work at a place using Nuendo. I never missed the Fairlight or 02r. Good times However, it is pretty cool to see they still develop the Fairlight system and I got to say, it looks pretty cool, especially if audio to video is your thing. Why get this over something else, I have no idea but If I get the chance some day, I will give it a spin and see how it feels.
  2. Holy ****! These sounds great!
  3. Awesome video and awesome thread. Thanks for sharing??
  4. That was brutally underwhelming. For the third of the price, perhaps it could be something to consider if that network thing is useful to you. But meh, I have shiny boxes that do more, just as good and for a price that actually can be justified. Neuman or no, this is ridiculous.
  5. LOL that would actually be very usefull??
  6. What?? Audiolens cost money??
  7. Damnit… I wasn’t going to spend money on studio gear this year. But I use Twin2 like an addict. Really like the way Fabfilter is taking their updates. NYE resolution is failed. I’m getting this! happy birthday, Bapu!
  8. It’s a really good developer. I abuse Mammoth almost daily and I have Rhino on my iPad that I use when out ‘n about. It’s one of the most versatile amp sims I know about. They do some magic over there!
  9. Only half good. Still haven’t bought anything for my studio. Haven’t bought cigarettes either…
  10. Wow! I thought i’d hate it. But it really peaked my interest.
  11. He plays it like a piano player too. but I agree, I’ve heard much better
  12. Interesting. Got a slight Andy Rooney-vibe. Subscribed. Best of luck with the new channel!
  13. Delay Lama and I go way back ? https://www.kvraudio.com/product/delay_lama_by_audionerdz As for NYE resolutions, I’m not going to put any money into my studio this year, just harvest income from it. And maybe start smoking. I’m aiming for 50% success. I’ll get me coat…
  14. Nah, that’s nothing, but it looks like a double bass in a doll house, next to a doll! Man, I’d never go near that thing?
  15. I was told I don’t need it… Very good product video, tho?
  16. I got: -Sonarworks upgrade to Reference ID from 4 -Socks Didn’t get: -Anything else ?
  17. This upgrade is day one and only BF purchase this year. Do not regret it so far…
  18. for some reason the quote didn’t show up, but TheSteven, yes I have been using Nuendo extensively for years. BTW, great to see you here, Larry. Hope all is well on your end? I actually plan to update my Cubase license to Nuendo. I used it for years at this studio I was working at. After I quit I find my self missing it. Not a bad word about Cubase, but there are nuances that are different. I don’t know if I need the extra features, however. But it is a pretty damn nice piece of software, especially for sound to video and for mixing. I am currently freelancing at this place with Pro Tools and I tearfully miss Nuendo for that from the moment I power up the studio machines there ??

    Kuassa vVv Released

    Sounds really nice!
  20. Yeah, happens to me all the time also. I always consider this before using their products because it’s so unreliable wether they work or not. Having said that, they all sound pretty stellar. Hopefully they’ll work these issues out.
  21. Wow! I’ll be demoing the crap out of this one…. And I expect it to demand my blood! Or cash, as some may call it ? Edit to add: been playing with the demo for a couple of days now. This is a tone monster and a very contemporary ampsim. And it’s probably the most versatile Archetype so far. I really like where this is going - and, I have too many ampsims!!!
