Thank a lot Kevin!!! I was able to retrieve the little sign, it was driving me crazy hahaha
-
I have noticed that one or more updates ago, a little sign that appeared when one placed the mouse over it disappeared from the performance module. it indicated percentage of processor in use, late buffers, etc. I can't enable it and I don't know if they decided to remove it.

Great job!. logical is one of my favorite themes, this version improves it even more

Yah, i understand that it was that folder, unfortunately that folder is empty now after the reinstall, idk what is happening during the reinstall, i have all both antivirus and firewall disabled while running the web-installer and installing Cakewalk.
Can you pls share the contents of the VSTBitmapCache folder maybe? I have already uninstalled and reinstalled Cakewalk like 5 times today trying to get this fixed, maybe if i just put those files back to where they should be the issue with displaying them within Cakewalk will get fixed.
Here you are

I had the same problem, the only thing I can contribute is that it has to do with the content of the folder VSTBitmapCache. you can access it by running %appdata% and then selecting the cakewalk folder and then VSTBitmapCache. there are the icons.

Thanks to everyone for your comments. The problem was the T-RackS 5 installation. I un-installed all the plugins and re-installed them. The culprit was the
T-RackS-5 install. Now all the plugins load with no crashes so far in Cakewalk or Cubase.
I'm glad you fixed the problem. I suggest you change the header of the post and add [SOLVED] to guide future readers

From Google " VCA stands for Voltage-Controlled Amplifier. VCA faders were originally found on hardware mixing desks. They allowed the user to control the volume levels of several mixer channels with only one fader. To assign channel faders to a VCA fader, the respective channels must be physically connected with the VCA fader."
I've never had a desk or a DAW with VCA faders so I genuinely dont get how this is any different from a bus ?
in principle a VCA fader does not receive or send audio to any output. It only controls the levels of the faders it is routed to. Nor does it modify the position of them physically

What is so special about VCA faders? Maybe it's just me... I'm not knocking it in any way just don't get the importance of them. If someone can tell me it would be awesome. I have seen it requested before and have seen a few videos on them but I don't see it dramatically making a difference. Let me know what I'm missing.?
well, a VCA fader allows you to control the volume of a group of faders without them moving, unlike the common grouping, allowing among other things to assign an automation and control the entire group or assign it to several groups.

If Control Groups would follow automation envelopes written on a single grouped track there would be no need for VCA 's.
Currently you have to write (and edit) automation on all of the grouped tracks.

during installation the installer does not allow you to choose what to install. the program adds a folder "softube" in the folder of the vst2 (64bits) of cakewalk. inside is the VST2 that produces the error. removing it solves the problem because the VST3 works fine. on the other hand it does not interfere with the native plugin that appears in the pro channel. It's not necessary deletes others vst in the folder

I'm experiencing sync issues with parameter automation when using Soundtoys primaltap with cakewalk oversampling enabled. It seems not to work or it runs out of place ... when deactivating it everything works correctly.
-
I already tried uninstalling everything and reinstalling and it doesn't work. Thank you?
-
Recently Softube releases en new version of saturation knob with new features. on my two computers when it loads produces an error that is described as main call and suggests disabling the plugin. despite that if ignored the plugin works fine but every time the vst are scanned the same error occurs. Any suggestions to fix the problem? I am talkimg about external version...
Thanks
SOLUTION: When you install the new version in cakewalk, you only have to leave the VST3 version. version 2 is incompatible with internal version 2 that appears in the pro channel. This is accomplished by deleting the softube folder that contains the new VST2 saturation knob. the installation unfortunately asks for the directories but does not allow you to choose ...?
