Are any resellers offering upgrades from V8?

Maybe they're prepping to roll the Izotope and PA Installer into it. Who knows.

Will they be Grid modules like the three modulation FX we got with 4.2?

Cherry Audio if yiu want to expand your modules, as there are so many user made modules. AAS if you want to keep your money in your wallet after the initial buy?

They also still allow to crossgrade from Notion (full not the presonus sphere one). I don't think they offer that crossgrade at the Steinberg website

yeah you can find the installer here, I think try to keep it a bit hidden: https://www.native-instruments.com/en/specials/native-access-2/ it's only officially launched for Komplete Now subscribers. But I am not, and have no issues with using it.

i think they used to have upgrades from previous versions too. It's only with V12 that they suddenly only allow upgrades from 11 to 12

Not that much in awe with their new upgrade pricing. Especially since there doesn't seem to be an upgrade path from anything before 11 anymore

The latest edition of Beat should come with Audiomodern Playbeat Lite. But serialcenter doesn't give a code. Reading Beat through Readly. Would be a bummer if that doesn't give me access to the downloads anymore

A bit disappointed it doesn't come with NKS, but I guess that will be part of the full version once that one comes out. It does however nicely map to the Cubase Quick Controls
