Hi Steve Thanks for this, really appreciate the comments Cheers Nigel Hi tom You are so right - Some great records have been banned over the years - The ***** Pistols come to mind and look what that did for their notoriety and more importantly sales!!! If only it were possible to sell anything these days, as we've been sort of banned, we should be rich?? Always appreciate your time my friend Keep well Nigel

Absolutely true about no reasoning with Youtube!! I had a problem with a previous video - Troubled Times - when I went to load it up they rejected it totally for something like unacceptable content - but they wont tell you what that content actually is, so you have to guess. Troubled Times has NOTHING to do with Covid. When I went back through the video, I had put in a 2 or 3 second clip where a shop keeper is changing the sign on the door from open to closed. On the closed part of the sign, it said "closed due to Coronavirus" It was visible for about a second or so. Anyway I guessed this might be the problem, so i replaced it and the video was accepted immediately. I really would like to go on a long rant about censorship, but I think that might be viewed as Political? Thanks Nigel

-
I didn't catch the earlier mixes, but this sounds all good to me - great track and excellent vocals Cool Nigel
-
Hi Bjorn I was shocked at the images - we have a great deal of this in South Africa, but we are a struggling third world nation Loved the music, fitted perfectly to the video Great job Nigel
-
Great vocals as always but I do agree with the comments re the instrumentation. With some work, could be a great track Nigel
-
Hi tom Great cover - loved the guitar playing and the vocals sounded excellent I've always liked this track and I've played it often - Cool Nigel
-
Hi Wookie - thanks for the comments - yes I could see that someone might think the guy is praying, but actually he is not - as you say that could be the reason I suppose - thanks for taking the time to have a watch and comment - really appreciated Nigel
-
Hi David Really enjoyed the track - I think I agree with some of the mix tips With regard to the reverb but apart from that excellent. Cool Nigel

What Bjorn said!!!! Nice job Nigel

Hi Bert This does sound much better, although I still think the snare is a little loud (Just a little bit) Otherwise all cool Nigel

I have a Gretsch Duo Jet 6128 and a Gretsch Rancher - I love my Duo Jet and it is one of my favourite Guitars - The Rancher I do use a fair bit but not so much for recording. It's great live. I have also played a friend of mines Gretsch's - he has a solid body and a Jazz Type Archtop - I can't remember the models, but I think they were the less expensive models - they both looked, played and sounded great - i remember thinking at the time just how well-made they were. I haven't played one of the new Electromatic models, but I'd be very surprised if it wasn't great - I do like Gretsch Guitars? You can see me playing my Duo Jet in this video, mainly towards the end Nigel

My Blood Runs Cold We went to upload our usual promotional stuff for our new video, My Blood Runs Cold; in video links, next video up links etc and YouTube has banned all promotional links etc for this specific video!! When I asked why, you get a very nonspecific answer of not suitable content, whatever that may mean. If you try and ask for specifics, they just won’t tell you. They really act like arrogant Dictators! Anyway I am just hoping the Cakewalk Forum peeps will not be offended?? I would love to hear what people think of this video – honestly I did not think it was that bad….I have been teaching a young intern here in Cape Town whilst I have been stuck here, how to use video editing software and some of the tricks I have picked up over the years – this was one of her videos and I feel so sad it got banned as I thought it was pretty good!! She has shown fantastic promise for such a young person and I have managed to get her a full time job – here in South Africa with our massive educational challenges and job challenges for our youth (Best estimate at the moment is around 65% youth unemployment) this has been a great thing. Anyway, here it is, the tenth track off our new album Regeneration. The track is called My Blood Runs Cold. Hope you enjoy it. Hi Bert Enjoyed this - the vocals sounded OK to me Enjoyed the listen Cool Nigel

Hi Jack think this could be a really good track - definitely i would do a stereo mix and I would watch Ozone when mastering - the auto settings especially on the limiter can crush everything - I don't have the latest version of Ozone (I think i have 7 - sorry not in the studio) but i always had to wind back the limiter - if i ever just let it to its own thing it was always way too limited!!! Actually after a while, even if i used the other Ozone modules, I never used the Ozone limiter - i much preferred something like Elephant or Xenon Nigel
-
what Jack and Wookie said!!! I enjoyed this Thanks for posting Nigel
-
Hi Jake I listened on Monitors and the panning didn't bother me too much - i did feel the bass could do with some work - was a little muddy/muffled sounding on my system Otherwise enjoyed the track Nigel
