Hi Freddy - agree wholeheartedly with the sentiment of the song - living in South Africa for part of the year, I know all about easy availability of guns and gun crime - our murder rate as just been announced for the first quarter of 2022 - murder has risen to over 67 PER day which probably puts us in the top three countries in the world with the highest murder rates......its so sad Good track my friend with an excellent message Nigel

Platinum Samples Andy Johns Classic Drums for BFD
Bajan Blue replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
you might be able to buy them OK - getting them to work might be something else!? I did do the recent update but it was a total PITA, although to be fair I did eventually get it all working again - one thing i do know - if I didn't own BDF I would NEVER buy it!! Nigel -

Songs that you love or hate to play live... What are yours?

Ah an easy one for me - as we play mainly our own stuff, there are only two covers we ever play, although I am mucking around with one at the moment - Edwyn Collins - A Girl Like You the two we play are Waiting for my Man - Velvet Underground Somebody to Love _ Jefferson AIrplane -
well I downloaded the trial - have to say I wasn't terribly impressed - it might have ben the material I was using it on, but I felt I got better results with what I already have - such as Boz Provocative and Sonnox Oxford Voxdoubler - perhaps because I know how to use these? anyone else trial this?? Nigel

Hi Baps Emm, I've done that a couple of times lately - I think it must be a forum bug - couldn't be anything to do with us - I mean we, emm, we never,emm............oh I seem to have forgotten what I was talking about? Nigel

Hi - yes it was really great being able to make such a poor recording (well would certainly be classed as poor these days sound quality wise) sound something pretty good. Well I just checked re posting of the tracks and I noticed I had made a little mistake when posting the tracks/videos off Regeneration, and there is still one left to post!! And I am working on another album - just adding final vocals then final mixing - should be ready to release late July / early August Cheers Nigel

Hi tom thanks my friend, your time always appreciated - I'll go and check that issue with YouTube Nigel Hi John, thanks for that appreciated - the fullness and depth very much because of the IR' Cheers Nigel
-
Hi Mark - thanks for that, appreciated - if you get good Guitar IR's, I find they really make a difference - I purchased some really good ones from these people https://worshiptutorials.com/acoustic-guitar-impulse-responses/ however I am sure they have regular sales - i don't remember paying that amount. Nigel Hi Freddy - your time is always appreciated - thanks for those great comments Nigel Hi Douglas - ha ha about the Porta Studio - after this recording I went out and purchased a Porta Studio, which I think I only ever used a couple of times before I discovered the brave new world of computers!! I still have mine as well tucked away in a cupboard somewhere!!! Cheers Nigel
-
HI Larry - yes definitely - this was definitely a one off thanks Nigel Thanks, appreciate the time and comments Cheers Nigel Hi Kevin Thanks for the kind comments - appreciated. I think - it was a long time ago mind you, that it would have been my Washburn EA30 - I used to cart that around with me, so pretty sure it would have been that one. I still have that Guitar, although I have not used it for a long time - I should dig it out!! Nigel
-
Hi Jesse never a truer word said my friend - I always try and look forward, unless I'm looking back at old Tracks I did ages ago but never really finished them as I would now!! Cheers Nigel Thanks Bjorn - really appreciate the kind comments Cheers Nigel
-
Hi Andy Thanks for that - yes I had fun rescuing this old guitar track - took a while but I also think I learned a lot doing it!! See, you can teach an old dog new tricks? Yes 15 tracks was a lot of work - so the new album, that is nearing readiness, is only 13 tracks!!!! Cheers Nigel
-
Hi Jack Thanks for that and glad you liked it Cheers Nigel Hi Wookie Thanks - yes very judiciously applied!!!!! Cheers, appreciated Nigel
-
Jesse I like this, Avant guard on the edge, but just holding together...well until the end!! Cool Nigel
