  1. 25 or 6 to 4 - Chicago With some fantastic guitar playing by Terry Kath. Not only the solo, but the counterpoint behind the vocals. Too bad, he was inclined to play with guns, he was, IMO, one of the best guitarists of the era.
  2. In My Room — Beach Boys The words are definitely adolescent, but the song is sublime. The melody, harmony, counterpoint, and arrangement is delightful. IMO Brian's best work.
  3. Just another face in the crowd - chillin; #28 in the series
  4. The people next door to us lived 'up north' and only came to Florida one month each year. The planned to retire there. We watched their house when they were gone. My mom would get tired of me practicing saxophone and say, “Go next door and do that.”
  5. Blue Rondo a la Turk — Dave Brubeck Quartet
  6. Not me. They almost always end too soon. Playing music is the most fun I can have with my clothes on.
  7. I am old enough to remember when every nightclub that hired a band had an upright piano on stage. I am old enough to remember it had cigarette burns on it, and it was hopelessly out of tune. I was not the piano player, but it frustrated our pianist so badly, he bought a Wurlitzer electric, because it was the only portable piano available at the time.
  8. Is that your second story? If so, I'm floored.
