  1. I changed mine to "Incorrect" That way I enter anything, and my browser reminds me "Your password is incorrect".
  2. Solitary Man - Neil Diamond
  3. We used to play that song when it was popular. I doubled on Farfisa organ on that one. One day during the 'psychedelic' section, I was just goofing off, I kicked my boot off, and "played" the organ with my foot. Complete bullsh*t but the crowd went nuts. We made it part of the act, and from then on I had to make sure if I had a hole in my sock, it went on the left foot. On with the game... Western Union - Five Americans
  4. The musicianship on this album is awesome. One of the instruments I play is drums, and I am always impressed by Bernard Purdy's playing. He sets up a great groove, supports the song incredibly well, uses tasty fills, and never gets in the way of the song. So today I'm listening mostly for the drums. I've learned a lot listening to Pretty Purdy. The Royal Scam - Steely Dan
  5. Another singer who expresses the words of the song in his delivery, phrasing, dynamics. Etc. And he's my favorite jazz singer. How Are You Dreaming - Mark Murphy
  6. "Psychotic Reaction" - Count Five
  7. Another performance that really sells the lyrics of the song. I think of Tom Jones as the UK's Elvis Presley. A great natural singer and a hit with the girls. Ben E King did a very good job on this song, Tom Jones did a great job on this song. I (Who Have Nothing) - Tom Jones
  8. Thanx for not damaging the becan Craig.
  9. I'm no Barbra Streisand fan but I'm not anti-Barbra either. This is an early work by her, it's passionate, nuanced, and the arrangement behind her is terrific. Her phrasing, emotional take represents the lyrics to the song. She brought it to a nice climax, you can hear the sexual excitement one touch incited. She nailed it on this one. He Touched Me - Barbra Streisand
  10. Sometimes it's good to be bad ?
  11. The Wanderer - Dion DiMucci
  12. As long as the adults are consenting, it's all good.
  13. Too much sax and violins? Nah. You can never have too much sax and violins.
  14. My second all-time favorite tenor sax player Gibraltar - Stanley Turrentine
  15. Tempus Fugit - The Stan Getz Quartet Stan is my all-time favorite jazz tenor sax player
  16. There is more than one right way to enjoy music. I think "classical" is an acquired taste. I played it in school when I was young, but blues and rock n roll were more fun. I still liked classical but didn't listen. Then I got into a jazz for recreational listening. Eventually went back to classics. I still enjoy just about anything but Bagpipes and Rap, and listen to a variety, but when it comes to serious listening, a nice symphony does it for me. But it's not for everyone, and that's OK. Neither is rap or bagpipe music. ;)
  17. Valentine - Jim Brickman & Martina McBride We used to play this song when it was semi-popular. It was requested by a regular customer. Leilani does a great job singing it no longer resonates with the crowd. Some songs are disposable.
  18. Hmm seems to be a classical day for me. Slovak Suite - Vítězslav Novák This is not the version I have on my CD player, but it's the same piece of music.
  19. Rhythm is a weirdly spelled word Miami's Own Gloria Estefan - Rhythm Is Gonna Get You
  20. And I might post it again. I do listen to songs more than once. ? Here is a nice symphony by a romantic Russian master. I don't think I've posted this one before, and it'll keep me entertained for about a half hour Symphony #2 (Antar) - Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov
  21. I think I'll cook a burger on the grill with cheese and becan for lunch today.
