Already purchased. Just need to install. Great surprise for the day.

If you think you need to work with those artists to be successful in music, I can't help you. You clearly haven't done any research, in the video he clearly states he can't even get ad revenue on most of his videos due to the way YT monities things and he uses copywrited songs in videos for education (just as you get with a music teacher in a paid environment). I don't follow the guy, but have watched a handfull of his videos over the years. Even with this limited exposure, it seems you have cast judgement on what you don't know. As for the titles, that video I linked also addresses that. The guy is surprisingly knowledgable and a lot of what he is doing on YT is actually for 'free". I'm betting you are not creating that level of content for free, if so please post it. My .02. Many "Youtubers" make more money and provide more value to the musician at large popluation than bands do these days. Think about the reach of 1.5M subscribers for a minute. I don't subscribe to his channel, and yet I've also seen his videos. Major TV stations don't even get that kind of viewship and enguagement.

Beato has 1.5M subscribers on YT related to music. I'll gladly take you up on that bet. You can see he has a long list of supports as well as links for paid products/services. I'm postive he is making a nice living doing "music" full time. He does all the work himself, so all that money is goign to him and his work. He goes live and people throw money in the tip jar. Watch this for a little bit and just get a taste of the kind of money he can make:

Given some of the previous tools /functions were not as perfect as they suggested on the last update to the flagship products. I'm a little surprised to see a number of people saying it is worth it before even testing it for more than a couple hours? This isn't exacltly a cheap upgrade especially for the Studio 4 users.

Were you able to enter an email and get the download? I put in a couple emails and got this each time: Failed to send e-mail, please check your e-mail is valid and inputs are filled. Emails were from different providers and both valid.

Usual argument is 1st in the chain. But as you say, arguments have been made for both sides.

Strongly prefer a dual monitor workflow/layout. Ideally I'd like another workspace that has the ability to have multiple plugins open on a dedicated area (and say 3rd monitor) 4K is awful if plugins are not desiged to scale, etc.

I installed it on two machines without having to contact anyone. It is a fantastic freebie that doesn't take up a lot of space. I do think they need to update it so it can actaully see what is installed on your machine instead of the app just pulling your account history.

I'd try the demo to see what you think. Many of us got it for free when it was released. I like the fact they let you put it on as many computers as you own (no ilok, limited install garbage) It can be a little more "colorful" to your sound than some of the other options on the market. I like it an use it sometimes, but also don't think it is the best out there for "clean" console emulation. Airwindows makes a console emulator that is free, and so does Analog Obsession. I have Waves NLS and some other options in addition to the console that comes in Cakewalk. It is not a pro-channel plugin, but you can put it in the FXBin thing in the Pro-Channel if that is where you want it in your chain.

The problem is you can't do that if you did the add 3 issue subscription on top of each other. With a status of "pending" you can't turn it off. You have to wait until it is active during that period to do so. In a normal subscription scenario, yes, that is absolutely the route to take.
-
I'd argue it has more advanced functions than most NLE s on the market, even the free version.
-
Do they have a demo of this thing, or is it like SD3, where they expect you to pay as much as an actual instrument without playing it first?
-
Pretty sure you have to actually buy something to get that though correct? If super massive is the first free one they have, implication there, no purchase has been made.

Grab Freq Echo for free too then while you are at it.

Within Zoom: Click Share Screen Lower Left hand box click "share computer sound" Then click share on the right. then anyting you play on your laptop will be heard by the participants. However, I wouldn't make the assumtion this is "high quality" audio. It is still going to be hignly compressed through Zoom. It will however give you audio with effects/mix added. But since you mentioned itunes, that isn't high quality audio to begin with.

Waves free 2nd license for WUPed plugins (while WUP lasts)
Brian Walton replied to trager's topic in Deals
Ha, the Waves idea is terrible for anyone. WUP is a terrible practice, and this new model just makes it more palitable for the suckers that buy into it. (checked my account, think I paid less for the plugins than what the WUP costs) -

A lot of it has to do with the major influx of people that actually use a laptop for the majority of their work (many of which are not even recording instruments or vocals with regularity). I prefer the traditional full blown computer setup. But will admit that my mobile rig is nice that I can go record somethign and then dock it at home with multiple monitors, USBs, Interface, etc Without having to transfer files. With the move to make shift studios and recordings at home instead of always in a real studio, having the mobile options in addition to the real full blown setup at home is really common place. I might be working on one project, then need to leave for a mobile session recording. Time is valuabe to the pro and non-pro. There is also the issue if something goes wrong. With one seat you are screwed if you HD dies or that USB stick it was tied to dies. My experience with WAVES support (and others) means I'm not back up and running in minutes, it could be days or weeks. With a couple seats, you can move things around if one machine/method just dies. -

It is super common to have more than one machine. When I'm using the laptop, I don't have "free" USB ports to give up, and transfering from USB and ilok to the local machine to use is really annoying for a product I purchased. Certianly can't give up 1 port let alone 2 since these VSTs have different authorization needs. Heaven help you if you also use something like Reason with yet another stick. ? I use way more than 2 computers, but I also know I'm in the minority on that front. -

Almost all other companies give 2 seats per purchase (perpetually) not just tied to basically a subscription model. I'm not giving them any credit at all on this one. They are basically just tacking on a subscription cost to get a 2nd seat. If they just applied a 2nd seat to everyones account for each plugin they already had. ...I'd give them credit to getting up to industry standard. -

Just treating customers like dirt. That is the mistake. -

only valid during WUP? It would be more cost effective just to re-buy the plugins on sale, thus giving 2 seats per. Too little to late. -
Thanks, I've picked up a number of plugins on that site over the years. Guess that Tremolo never caught my eye previous. Not sure why, GUI is excellent....and after trying it out, I really like it.

Small word of "warning" While free, the plugin does have a splash page, which they note will get more annoying over time.

Scaler 2 is scheduled for release on May 27th, 2020
Brian Walton replied to Carlos Iglesias's topic in Deals
I'm not a betting man, but I'm strongly guessing the current offer of $49 of buy v1 and get the v2 upgrade when it comes out free is as good as it is going to get until a fire sale at some point. A different workflow and layout (and in my mind, some different features) than those. I have Instachord, but personally Sclaer makes more sense to me and I find it easier to use (Cthulhu and Riffer to me are completely different products). I'm also not a keys player and while I've been making music for 20+ years, theory never really interested me. I care about emotion and feel, Theory in my world is only a tool to get there. And scaler makes sense on that front, even putting descriptions of feelings along with Scales it selects as options for a chord. If it makes sense for you to purchase that probably depends on what you want to get out of it. (I have instachord, Cthulhu CM but basically don't use them). Scaler 2 will have a place in my workflow for some projects. -
Tried about 10 times, can't the the Windows 64 bit one to download. They must have some hosting problems. Have blazing fast speeds on other sites. Never downloads more than about 3 megs before stopping (expected 7.7 meg file)
