It has different patches that all seem to work the same way. Each has 5 different loops that use 3 to 6 (I think) instruments that can also be triggered individually or in unison. I didn't find a way to have all instruments available at the same time. In the screenshot below the blue keys trigger loops that use only certain types of instruments. The first section is usually bass/low drums. The green keys on the right side of each blue section can be used to trigger individual shots (no round robins as far as I can tell). The yellow keys trigger all the three types of loops at the same time, so if you press yellow C all the blue C keys go down at the same time. As far as I can tell you can't mix them up. The green keys next to the yellow keys depress all the other corresponding green keys at the same time. You can probably find more detailed answers in the manual.

Day 6: Free Female Acapella

I was wondering what makes this gate different, but luckily they answer it on their site: Okay, then.

I'm pretty confident that people who are planning to literally steal software visit other kinds of forums. ?☠️ On the actual topic, Producer Tech has two Scaler courses on sale, €8.86 each. Not sure if they're any good. https://www.producertech.com/staff-picks/171/producer-s-guide-to-scaler-2 https://www.producertech.com/best-sellers/192/scaler-modulation-masterclass

Day 5 is free drum shots: https://www.ghosthack.de/free_sample_packs/drum-shots/ One day I should unzip all these free sample collections I've downloaded and see what I've got.

It was one of Audio Plugin Deals' Black Friday flash deals, so I don't think they're going to sell it to me for the same price.

Since we are talking about every other thing except Iron 2... I ended up not getting Riffendium 6 for now. I still want it, but after searching a bit I found out the whole bundle has been on sale for $99. I'm going to wait for another deal like that.

audio plugin deals FREE DOWNLOAD: Future Chords Midi Pack by Red Sounds

No, never heard of them. I guess my browser's ad blocker works better than I realized. That was my thought exactly. But I've learned that I am often ignorant about many things, so I thought it better to ask than to assume something. Okay, I hear what you're saying, but I feel there is a better way to do everything you listed, even if you're missing a keyboard. Normally these cost money, so investing in something like scaler would be a much better move, like you more or less said yourself. But I suppose there wouldn't be supply if there wasn't demand. Or perhaps supply has created demand? In any case, if whoever is reading this finds midi chords useful, I'd like to apologize if my initial post made me sound like an elitist jerk. I support whatever helps people create music and I understand that we all have different backgrounds and different approaches. I was just so confused by this that I didn't pay much attention on how I worded my message, and after I re-read it I realized it may have come across as demeaning. That was not intended. As a peace offering I'd like to share something I found when I was investigating this: Free Midi Chords and progressions offers over 7400 free midi chords and progressions in a single package. If midi chords is your thing you might find it useful. -

If it's not too much trouble, though a YouTube link or a name of a software would suffice, too. I am genuinely curious, because this concept is new to me and I'm interested to find out if it's something I could use myself. Edit: Or I could just google "how to use midi chord files"... Edit2: Nope, didn't find anything useful. Which is interesting in itself. -

Ok, that makes sense. So I assume there is software that allows you load these files in bulk and then you just hit C on your keyboard and you can easily switch between all variations that are available? -

Ok, so I didn't want to believe it but it is exactly what it says on the tin: 1673 midi files that each contain a single chord. That's it. Can someone please explain to me why someone would use these? Is there some mystic workflow or software where selecting a midi file is actually faster and easier than hitting a C major on your keyboard? Or is this for people who don't have a keyboard? For people who want to make music without learning any theory? Not judging, simply curious. Though admittedly, I have now learned that you should use a different variation of C major for future bass and chillwave, and that Spanish hip-hop doesn't use C major at all (only C min, but you can use two variations of it). ?♂️ -
I asked UJAM about the upgrade price and they said: Re: Riffendium, Audiofier's Black Friday sale ends today, so you have still time to buy something with a 50% discount. Edit: I'm going to buy Riffendium 6. I play guitar but this style is unfamiliar to me so it's going to be great for picking up ideas.
-
Ah... right. UJAM products have been a freebie quite often in the past. We'll see. I'm good at the waiting game.
-
Please elaborate. Do you mean the upgrade?
-
That's not a very customer friendly upgrade price, considering the full v2 is currently $74.50. I'm going to wait until it drops to $29 or less.

A song about countly matters.

I'm not sure if all of these are worth recommending, but there is another thread about free instruments that might have something of interest: Edit: Here are the Soundethers freebies TracingArcs mentioned: https://www.lootaudio.com/category/kontakt-instruments/soundethers/caleidoscope-kontakt https://www.lootaudio.com/category/kontakt-instruments/soundethers/Space-Evolutions

I just wanted to understand the terminology you were using so that I could understand what you're saying. I agree that 8dio string instruments often feel less agile than some other libraries, but I don't regret buying them. Like Amicus717 said they have their own sound which I find suites certain situations better than the more refined libraries, though I only have strings from the Agitato series which I believe many think is one of 8dio's better ones. In fact, looking at my library it seems I mostly have just vocal and percussion libraries and some exotic instruments from 8dio, all of which I think are quite good for the money I paid for them. So maybe I haven't encountered the issues you mentioned because I haven't used their orchestral libraries so extensively? Anyway, my biggest issue with 8dio libraries is the long load time.
-
Just to be clear: When you say they are not playable, do you mean that it doesn't sound good when you play them with a keyboard? Or do you mean that you can't make them sound good even after you have the midi notes and tweak them (like you usually need to)? I rarely record midi. I use notation software and export the midi to my daw, so the first kind of playability is not important to me.

I have never had to check so many boxes to complete a transaction. By the sixth one it started to feel like a joke. I hope I didn't trade my soul for these or something.

EastWest Hollywood Orchestra Opus Edition on sale
pseudopop replied to Yan Filiatrault's topic in Deals
That's true. The smartest thing for me would probably be to write the orchestral pieces with a cheap sketching library, subscribe to CC for a month, finalize and render the pieces and then unsubscribe. Repeat when necessary. I could do that because I don't do this for a living and not all of my songs have orchestral stuff in them. (There a lot of studies suggesting that humans are quite irrational when it comes to money and ownership, and I suppose this forum proves that well.) -

It's the warm, fuzzy feeling of owning something and getting a good deal. Seriously, though, at these prices you make a valid point and one I have also considered. I'm going to test the Composer Cloud this weekend and make up my mind after that. I just have an aversion to subscriptions, so I tend to dismiss those as an option. -

I'm already making an inventory of disposable internal organs I can sell, as I'm really tempted by this AND Hollywood Choirs Diamond for $201.26. Edit: Yes, brain is on the list since I obviously don't use it that much. -

I'm going to wait and see what the prices will be elsewhere, but nevertheless I have a bad feeling about my future monetary situation.- 1 reply
