  1. Good suggestions. Trimming is good in situations where you want to preserve the clip names and any muted notes in the clips. Bounce deletes the clip name and any muted notes. Bounce also commits any arpeggiation you have turn on in the arpeggiator, where trimming does not.
  2. Thanks for showing me the way I was going blind. There are so many weird things like this. I'm surprised it works as well as it does overall, as the product has been developed and developed over decades.
  3. I upgraded to build 31.08.0.035 and can't reproduce this issue. I think we should let this sleeping dog lie for a while. Let me ask you an unrelated question. I submitted a ticket related to losing time sigs when committing arrangements. I believe initial due diligence done by the dev team, but I was not satisfied with the answer (the behavior is by design and we're not changing anything) and haven't heard back on my last comments on the case. Would there be any value in raising the technical issue here in the forum?
  4. Yep the number of commands is boggling and alphabetizing would be helpful. I can't find "apply trimming" in keyboard customization. Can you give me a clue where that is?
  5. For some reason, the Apply Trimming command is not available to assign to a button on the control bar Custom module. Would be a nice to have.
  6. I'm seeing some of my clips get gray highlighted as I move the mouse over them. If I click in an unused area of the track pane, the highlights go away. Curser is Smart Tool. Is sonar trying to tell me something, or is this a glitch? See attached screen grab. Clips get highlighted.webm
  7. I disabled DPI and I didn't see any difference. However, I did discover the display scale slider right below, so I bumped that up and now my old eyeballs are happier. Thanks for your suggestions!
  8. Snap to scale is wonderful if you compose in PRV, especially for multi-part harmony. You can create your own scales, too. The dark lines show what notes are not in your chosen scale; when it's turned on, you're prevented from putting notes on the dark lines, and when you drag notes up or down, the same is true.
  9. Yes, indeed. I thought I had replied, but I think I was moderated. Anyway, your suggestion was excellent, and I appreciate the time you took to help me.
  10. Thanks, I think this is the best option for me. I didn't like it at first, because I use Snap to Scale all the time and the illegal notes for a scale are super heavy black, but I guess I can used to it. Thanks for your helpful suggestion.
  11. Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. I couldn't get it to work, though.
  12. I can't find an acceptable color theme even after tweaking my monitor settings: In PRV note names are hard to read in dark themes. In Track View, notes are hard to see in light gray theme.
  13. Drawing automation lines is difficult eraser and move tools add nodes and drags lines can't drag a line section up and down, only one node moves (see attached) automation.webm
  14. I have sonar pinned to the win 11 taskbar. When I froze Sonar with Win-M, I was able to restore it by right clicking on the Sonar taskbar icon and I got a menu with a list of recent files and an entry "Cakewalk Sonar". Clicking on that brought it back to life.
  15. What is this record icon in the track lane that is an open circle with a dot and a line thru it? I don't recall seeing this in previous versions.
  16. You could try a different color theme such a "mercury".
  17. There is ANY_THIN.CAL that says it will reduce any controller.
  18. It doesn't work if auto-focus is enabled in the PRV.
  19. I think this would be useful. Being able to accomplish frequently used tasks like clip muting with a either mouse or keyboard workflows is a good thing.
  20. Have you looked into creating a preset? Under Export>Advanced
