Have you ever used Control panel and Programs and Feautures?? It is possible that you can find there the Magix driver and remove it.

Just installed Cakewalk, no sound output. Help Please?
lapasoa replied to StevieM's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
As anyone can see on your first photo, Cakewalk says that the silent bus detected is Master Bus. On the second photo Cakewalk says that playback timing master is "none" as it is the record timing master. This clearly says that your DAW is not connected to an Audio Interface. -
I think that normalize is not the real tool to use. As you can read in the "Mastering" topic in this forum, this kind of result is obtained with mastering. The final step of mastering in fact is the use of limiter. By limiting each song at the same volume level (brick wall), the level of each song will be identical.

Thanks bitflipper. But unfortunately this article is about mix and remix. Not mastering, that it is a completely different affair.

Empty start Screen even after reinstalling
lapasoa replied to Rick Bhattacharyya's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
In the start screen view under New Project there are the Project templates that you find in Cakewalk Content/Sonar Platinum/Projects templates. When you open one of these Project templates and save as template and send it to Folder Project Files, then this template appears in your Start Screen. -
I expected some partecipations with more technical comments. Instead I've found much musical philosophy.

Hello everybody. I think that it's interesting that every forumist tells his own way of mastering.

Of course UA soundcards are good with CbB...given the price.

Struggling with vocals in the mix
lapasoa replied to RICHARD HUTCHINS's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
First of all I would change your mike lead with a real mike lead. Done this, I connect the mike directly to the Steinberg interface. This is the way to start to record a vocal in a professional way. You don't tell us how high you hear your voice in the headphone during recording respect to the others tracks. -

Piano pieces. Mastering. What studio monitors to use?
lapasoa replied to Konskoo's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
I think is embarassing when someone ask for a guitar respect to a different guitar or a software respect to another or a monitor respect something elsse. The whole without explaining his musical tastes, his musical expierence and what type of devices he uses for recording and hearing his own music. -
If you write in english language everybody can know your issues.

lapasoa replied to Nodar Nogaideli's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Remove the current BandLab assistant and re - download BandLab Assistant. -
Don't complicate your life. Mute all tracks except the tracks you want to mix together. Choose Bounce to track. Get the normal procedure checking mono without touching anything else. Check OK and Cakewalk create automatically a new track. After that remember to delete or archive the original tracks you wanted to mix together
