True. That would be the upcoming Mac Pro. But my eyes prefer working on a laptop. And this M1 Max with 64 gigs of ram and a 4TB ssd comes close to workstation level performance, while keeping its cool

I’m switching towards a laptop setting. Not as much for portability than eyesight. These old eyes seem to adapt better to a laptop screen than a separate monitor. And the M1 Max 16” MacBook Pro is a beast.
