My only concern about Soundpaint is how big these libraries can be. That seems to be an 8dio trademark. Too many sample developers are into bloat that makes game developers jealous.
I'm still amazed how Spitfire made that 300mb BBC sound great.
It's not the libraries that are so expensive as much as buying the drive space to host them.
Some are probably not aware how terrible VSL's license replacement policy was. They started selling dongle insurance. Hopefully that will change. If VSL every goes to a 2 machine limit I'll be a big fan.
How many computers can I use with a new license?
You are allowed to install our products on multiple computers, but you can only activate a product on two computers at any one time.
At the same time developers will find way to bring these systems to a crawl. Someone will eventually get one of these and forget the word "server". People have done that with Intel server processors.
Yes and FL Studio has plenty and once you are in the front door you don't have to pay for them.
Reason is the worst at fixing their DAW while I bet them cranking out their instruments is a 4 to 1 ratio,
There have also been issues of still being charged after that period.
I think that DAW is slowly dieing. I took their $129 upgrade bribe to avoid the $199 price. Take away all of those fancy instruments and your left with a clumsy DAW.
This forum and KVR are very good about listing iLok.
Some developers like to hide their EULA when it comes to machine limit but seem upfront about iLok.
Product Poort'all sucks. After updating Ozone 9 the Vocalsynth was removed from the updates. Open a DAW and Vocal Synth is 2.2. Go to the website and you can only download 2.2.0.a. I have one machine that refuses to download from the Poort'all. Their recent version seems to suck.
