  1. Yes Gary a fine recording there , just so transparent , I use that term quite often becuse its not what mine sound like ......cheers ,
  2. Yes thats good, open up a bottle of wine with this one, and not a cheap one either .
  3. It took me on a great journey , lots of confidence and self belief , well done
  4. Thanks for the offer Gary i´ll keep it in mind (I´m actually working on a song that is way out of my comfort zone slow, strings, and well not me ) I think what`s confusing the issue is that I used two strats L-R in the 2nd position pick ups (bridge and middle ) .....that could acount for the boxy bit maybe ??? I´m clutching at straws now arent I.... cheers .I´m off for some..... egg nog.....
  5. Hi chaps thanks for all your input and positive critique of course I´m not put out by it, I actually welcome all tips good or bad , I still cant hear it being boxy as Wookie pointed out, I use Sennheiser headphones HD 280 pro and another cheap pair, I only added a tick compressor in the (as I´ve now learned the default Buss) mixdown but you know how it is after listening to same song over and over again it all a gets bit too much.... I´ll do another mix with less comp and post it , to make a comparisson once again thanks for all the comments ..cheers ..........Oh and i´m off to have my ears syringed
  6. Great catchy chorus, loved all instuments
  7. It just that great riff guitar that holds the song so loosly together if you get what I mean, you cant beat a riif based song ..nice one
  8. Well done , I can only say that there nothing more difficult to sing than slow song , respect ..
  9. Took me back in time , the vocals had a super effect on them well done...

  13. Yeah , liked this very much mix, was more than fine , really my kind of thing loved the slow down breaks well produced cheers
  14. Thanks Wookie are you referring to the side faders on the left hand side of the project tracks next to the master fader ? (if thats the default buss ) if so then well yes I used the compressor but i only reduced the wet/ dry mix , and only a a small amount , cheers

    .......

Yeah , liked this lots, its got a very british, quirky, sort of vibe to it....., really original...... yep my sort of thing ....no need to make comparisons to any one it stands alone by itself cheers
  16. Noo ..... not at all Wookie , on mixdown it was a tick too ``live´´ so I added just a bit of compression to calm the waters down somewhat, maybe I overdid it... I´ll have another look at it, that said by adding the compression it seemed to bring the vocals out more without too much volume ...... Ive had a gander at it ............. I just cranked up the vollume on the headphones and it was Uhhhmm well nice to my ears ..but hey then I´ve listended to it a zillion times today , so I´m a bit confused .... cheers

  19. Well thanks guys I´m going to send my 204 back to thoman and maybe its faulty , its really going crazy Ive got 7 tracks all with a tough of reverb and and Ive even frozen the b6 hamond but its still havinf an Audio dropout its impossible to use Ive chnaged the buffer size with the fader and gone doent to 2204 or whatever and still has more dropouts thana hippie commune , Ive rebooted the driver and i´m going round in circles so it still under guarentee so i`ll see what Thoman can do ...I get the feeling they`ll send it back saying its perfect ......Oh well
  20. Barry I really love your voice there`s so much character in there , it would sound sound so much better with a double harmony every now and then boosting it up a tic ..lovely guitar work by the way . cheers
