Good to see it's being covered. However about half the comments are based on misinformation, misunderstanding, old pre-conceptions, and Redditt bollocks. I've commented on the BPB article as it seems some are incapable of reading/researching.

but is it free only for a month ?
I see an expiring date .. 22.07.2025 ... and after ...?You just need to ensure you are online and signed in or around that date. It will renew for another month as CWbB does at present.

Just want to say thank you. been using Sonar since V2. And was happy with Cakewalk by Bandlab. Installed the new "free tier". No issues. It imported all my settings. Scanned all Vst without problems (incl some 32 bit stuff). And just tested some projects for a release that all imported fine (and seemed quicker to load, but may be my wishful thinking).
The "countdown" in order to use the program seems a small price to pay. And any withheld features don't appear to be a stumbling block. This should put Sonar back near the top for "free" DAW software. If I have any critisicm it is that having worked in Market Research for two decades. The launch could be better focussed and implemented.
With plans for a new audio PC to be built. I do feel I can stay now. After all decades of familiarity are not to be squandered. Again many thanks to the Bakers and Meng.

Andertons, Gear4Music and SCAN are long established (GAK has closed down). And yes Thomann will deliver to the UK. I've used SCAN a fair bit and Gear4Music without issues.

Great mix (particularly on the drums). Reminds me a bit of old heros of mine The Comsat Angels. Bravo

Is it tough to convert your instruments from one to another?
On the web page above it states it has an integrated format converter. So drop sf, acidized WAV onto it. I have all my Dimension Pro instruments also in Sforzando as a back up should DimPro ever stop working due to windows etc

Great work. The percussion/bass groove is perfect. The other instrumentation is complementing it with some great, well thought out chords that enhance it all into one coherent piece 🎶 🎵
Thanks Larry T. Very kind of you !

Don't think they have updated their site yet. I have U14 and looked at U15 update. NI want £359, PB £179, Thomann £171.

Fantastic. I love the combination of the percussion and other rhythmic elements with the sustained trumpet and keys. The chord changes are excellent.
Thank you. Very encouraging and appreciated.

I enjoyed this -- it has a subtle vibe that draws the listener in. And, it's beautifully recorded -- reminds me of the work of Rudy Van Gelder. - ! - Allan.
Thank you Allan. Seems my lifetime of absorbing all my Blue Note albums did not go to waste ! Thank You

I bought the Humble Bundle. And have found two of my TR5 modules have not updated. I informed support 10 days ago had a support number. And not heard a thing since. I have a feeling they just want this to go away.

Picked up Firemaster at Loot Audio. Cheaper than PB and just 40 pence more than UP. Plus 2 freebies . Stuck it on a couple of tracks and worked well.

Been away for some time (but still lurking the forum). Working on a new Bemused release. And re-worked an older track I did 10 years ago. Sort of Nils Petter Molvaer/Jon Hassell thing.

Sonar 25/06 requirements

I'm running both Cakewalk by Bandlab and the new Sonar free tier on an i5 - 10600. Without any issues. Infact it seems more efficient on the new Sonar.
