  1. LOL. I just got done reading that and saw you posted a link!!! I would recommend it to others, though.
  2. This is a comment, not a new video to change the the chain of associations. I heard the band's name before, but never their music. So watching this video gave me a excellent opportunity to listen and find out more about the band. I was struck by a comment in the following clip. An audience member tries to defend the band with an interpretation of another song (Kill the Poor). I can relate to the subsequent comment made in response about the neutron bomb. I had a very similar reaction to the neutron bomb when it was being put out there as a potential new weapon. (Its cued up to the questioner (2:16)); its a short Q&A (goes to 2:56).
  3. JMO: I think its a bad idea to repost the posts of forum members taken from other forums like this, for example to make a point about the activities of a forum member. However well intentioned, I think it opens up a can of worms.
  4. I agree Tom, Craig. I just took a look at the now-closed thread. So that readers of this thread don't go looking, the troll's rant and everything after has indeed been deleted. Not sure if the troll has been banned.
  5. JMO: I could be wrong, but I suspect it was locked because some [expletive deleted by choice] posted a message tirade that was totally inappropriate given the love the rest of us were sharing and amounted to a diatribe tirade against all participants in the forum. In short, one inconsiderate, self-serving [expletive deleted by choice] ruined it for the everyone else. When I read the post that lambasted everyone on the forum (to put it mildly), it occurred to me that the intent of that post was to get the thread locked. We should have heeded the "Ignore the TROLL" heads up.
  6. I cut and pasted https://stream.radioparadise.com/aac-320 into Winamp 5.6666 which I have been using for a few years. It works as I would expect. Hope this info helps. EDIT: The above link is the first one from what you have listed as "New site." I also tried this from the section that says for older player like Winamp. http://radioparadise.com/m3u/aac-320.m3u . Both work on my version of Winamp 5.6666 . I have no idea which versions I had over the years. When the proverbial you know what hit the fan, I took opted for 5.6666 and it has work for me for playing files, internet radio stations, ad hoc concerts/performances, etc.
  7. That reminds me of this old video:
  8. One Cheap Trick deserves another!!!! Ain't that a shame. ?

    NI FM8 for $12

Even though its a *.dll plug-in, it looks like there are about 600-800 parameters exposed. I just tested a handful in Voltage Modular with CVs and the ones I tried work. Although some are just switches, it looks like many provide for fluid control of parameter values. I suspect that many parameters change the sound at trigger time (as opposed to real time), but there seems to be a whole lot of sound shaping options. Even with the "vintage" look and functionality, this appeals to the sound sculptor in me. Thanks, @Frank for posting this. ?
  10. LOL. This is too funny! I'd rather have Jam Points than duplicate licenses. In fact, a number of times I have thought of suggesting they give Jam Points instead of duplicate licenses. Congrats to you guys who get both. EDIT: Oh. This explains it (I think). Thanks for the explanation.
  11. I don't need it, but I want to see if doing this will get me on the IK mailing list I keep hearing about. ? Also, redeeming it stops the pop-up from returning. ?
  12. Thanks for the reply. Glad to hear the messages have not reappeared.
  13. Is this what you are saying: (1) you have soft synths that are not routed to any destinations, (2) the unrouted soft synths are playing midi tracks, and (3) you can hear the audio from the soft synths?
  14. Cardinal caught my eye/ear; the link Cameron has led me to a 404 error (seems fixed now); found it on Github; had to read through a lot to find out where pre-built Windows packages were; downloaded; gonna try to install . . . . The "Free Stuff With Grump Mustache Man" video has popped in my YT list before, but I passed on it because I don't need any more free stuff. Nevertheless, thanks for mentioning the video. UPDATE: Cardinal sounds nice, but with the UI showing it consumes quite a bit of CPU power on the default setting. But there is a display refresh parameter that reduces the power consumption: View > Update Rate Limit. However, without the UI showing (plug-in window closed / minimized) it uses considerably less power. Those of you with state-of-the art PCs might not notice and issue. But if its an issue, take a look at the Update Rate Limit setting. The default is none. There's also 2x and 4x on the build I installed today.
  15. Excellent!!! Very useful info. Excellent hypothesis, too!!! I have used hosts like Tone2 and Voltage Modular (among a couple of others) with FX and instrument plig-ins, but that was with the core program installed on the computer. If no one else runs a test or already knows if the *.dlls and *.vsts require the core program, in several hours I'll be up for running a test on my older audio pc. My first guess is that the core program would be needed. EDIT: Not worth my time to try a test w/o the core program for the reasoning @abacab provided. (See immediately below.)
  16. While I enjoyed it the first time, I did not give it a "like" emoji. I just fixed that.
  17. Yes. And before I had them all, if I selected one I didn't "own," my CbB would have a shut down crash (just CbB, not the PC). The IK "You don't own this, wanna buy it?" dialog caused some sort of conflict with CbB on my older PC. I had the free version: T-RackS 5 CS. At one point I either moved all the modules (*.dll and *.vst3) to a separate folder so they wouldn't get picked up by the VST scan or I may have deleted them. Eventually I picked up a bundle that had the then-current version of T-RackS 5 MAX. I have switched to a slightly newer PC and if you'd like, I could try that with all but Comprexxor on the older PC. Or, if you have room to install them all and test the removal (or hiding) of all-but-Comprexxor, I'd be interested to know if that still works. I am not sure which T-RackS 5 software engine I had at the time, but that might not matter for this strategy.
  18. That confirms my guess (thanks): " If you have one (Comprexxor with a SN / License), maybe you bought it as a single? That might explain why yours can be transferred (if someone offers you more than the $20 transfer fee)." But to me there still might be an unexplained mystery (or two), unless my explanation is accurate. If Grem only has a GB / NFR Comprexxor, that could be the reason no second license was issued. However, I also had a GB /NFR Comprexxor and got a new license. To me, that's a mystery. Unless either of my two guess** is correct (or there is another explanation). **My guesses as to why I got a new SN / License: I purchased Comprexxor as part of a bundle that included T-RackS 5 MAX, or I purchased a bundle that included T-RackS 5 MAX that didn't include Comprexxor In any case, to me there's a mystery since different people had different results and so far the only explanations as to why are guesses.
  19. None of mine are transferrable. All 3 have serial numbers / different licenses. My guess (purely a guess): If you have one (Comprexxor with a SN / License), maybe you bought it as a single? That might explain why yours can be transferred (if someone offers you more than the $20 transfer fee).
  20. Another mystery. Maybe there's an unstated algorithm that determines who gets a new license and who doesn't. Purely a guess, but maybe the algorithm says "NO" promos but "YES" to purchases (either a single or a bundle). Another possibility (again, purely a guess), but maybe since my original T-Racks 5 Bundle didn't include Comprexxor, that trigger a "YES" for a new license. Comprexxor came out after I got my first T-Racks 5 Bundle and therefor wasn't included, nor was it comped after the fact. So, it was an "I don't have this one" selection for a GB. Anyone else's guess is as good as mine, but at least here's some data for purposes of comparison. T-RackS 5 Comprexxor Registered On: 30-07-2022 Serial Number - Yes, different than other two Cannot be authorized or unauthorized Cannot be transferred Source: Survey [free] T-RackS 5 Comprexxor Registered On: 14-04-2022 Serial Number - Yes, different than other two Cannot be authorized or unauthorized Cannot be transferred Source: Purchased as part of a Crossgrade/Upgrade Bundle T-RackS 5 Comprexxor Registered On: 19-10-2021 Serial Number - Yes, different than other two Cannot be authorized or unauthorized Cannot be transferred Source: Promotion > GB25
  21. I also took the survey. I did not get a new "copy," but I now have yet another license. Like others reported, it was in User Area > My Products. However, so far as I can see, having duplicate licenses for T-RackS 5 "gear" does not increase the number of T-RackS 5 authorizations I have. I had 8 left and with the new license, I still have 8 left. I am still trying to learn the complexities of IK's marketing and their ecosystem, but from what I can see if I have 1 license for each of 20 T-RackS 5 pieces of "gear" and I get a second license for each of those 20 pieces of "gear," I am still limited to the same number of computers I can use them on. I don't see how I can use them on twice as many computers (if I had them). If I am right, then we do not get extra "copies" in the sense that we can use a new copy independently of what we had before we got a new license. I admit, this is one of several things I still don't understand about IK. So, if someone can explain how having duplicates and triplicates of "gear" licenses (such as the T-RackS 5 "gear") gives me something additional, I'm "all ears." Even multiple T-RackS 5 MAX product license purchases do not seem to add additional authorizations if I understand what the Product Manager is showing me. All of them are listed as a solitary T-RackS 5 set of authorizations. Again, I don't pretend to understand all the ins and outs here. So, if someone can explain it, I'm happy to listen.
  22. @Grem Glad to hear that you found the 2022 cymbals. I listened to a bunch of them and I prefer some of the new ones to what they have as the default cymbals. Its nice that we have all the customization options. BTW, I agree with your conclusions.
  23. It means they should comp you on an upgrade to TOTAL STUDIO MAX 3.5 so you get them all for another 180 days. ? Seriously though, I have one MODO DRUM that expired and one that didn't (73 days left, I think) in addition to the MODO DRUM SE 1.5 from May. Thanks for the snapshots, I will try to compare with what I have. Also, based on the posts from people who heard from support saying they are aware of the issue, I think it would be good to give IK support a summary of your symptoms so when they have a solution your will be on the list to get it from them. I don't think this is intentional. Based on a preliminary look at your screenshots, I'm guessing its an issue on their end. I am wondering if there's a way to tell if you have the updated kits. Perhaps the presence of (or absence of ) the 2022 cymbals that Jerry mentioned can be used to tell if the kits really need to be updated. Just a guess, but I will look at what 2022 cymbals I have just in case it helps sort this out.
  24. Some questions that MIGHT help: Does the Product Manager say you need to update your MODO DRUM 1 kits? Does it say you need to update your MODO DRUM 1 software release [what some call software engine]? Does it say you need to update both? What release doe your MODO DRUM 1 have? If you have software version 1.5 for MODO DRUM 1 and Product Manager says to update the kits but you can't, contact IK Support.
