  1. Thanks, Erik! Well, I have to say, I was pretty happy to find out I get the latest and greatest version without having to pay any upgrade fee. That was a pleasant surprise!
  2. Thanks bayoubill! It's fun to get back into it after such a long time, but it feels like I am having to relearn almost everything from scratch again!
  3. Thanks for the feedback. I tried to put variation into the drums to avoid them sounding mechanical. I'll go back and work on it some more.
  4. I always loved the Elder Scrolls music. The music from the Amanita Design games (Machinarium, Samarost) are also wonderful. The soundtrack from Superbrothers Sword & Sworcery was another standout for me.
  5. This is a song I originally wrote about 10 years ago. After a long pause, I recently got back into recording and re-did this song from the ground up. It was a lot of fun to use this to learn all the features in the newest version Cakewalk. The Cardinal Now by popular demand - the solo piano verson! I used the Gentleman from Kontakt for this one. The Cardinal - solo piano.mp3
  6. As other's have said, it definitely has a very Beatles vibe too it. I really enjoyed it!
  7. That was really. I enjoyed that a lot.
  8. After almost 10 years of not really recording or writing anything (having kids will do that to you!) I finally started to get back into it, and thought I would upgrade to the newest version of Sonar. So imagine my surprise when I found out that Cakewalk the company was no more and instead had been bought by Bandlab. And, best of all, the latest and greatest version can be had for FREE!!! I feel a little like Rip Van Winkle right now. Anyway, just wanted to say hi to everyone here. I look to playing with all the new features I didn't know existed and don't have to pay for ? Jeff
