Perhaps rethink spending that money, pilot error on my part with the AI, it works awesomely well so far.
-
If you are interested in it, check again

Not a chance, not even if it was a complete flop, it's only $99, well $150 after conversion to $AU I can keep an eye on how things are going and recheck it out any time I wish, so it's fine with me.

I was going to let it go, but . . . Choptones would be very interested to speak with you on how their Boutique Amp Expansion's "fell apart very quickly" ๐ I don't think you have a solid grip on it, have you had Choptones expansion Packs for BIAS Amp(1)? I didn't think so, I own all of them , I can give you Livio of Choptones contact if you would like to discuss it with him๐ How an Amp responds is important to everyone, previous tech-see abaove

HOLD THE BUS - I stayed up all night after I realized it was pilot error with regards to the AI part of BIAS X, it works freaking amazingly lol, it truly does. I've been doing like various artists tone for example Gilmores Lead tone from Pink Floyds Comfortably Numb, worked very well, switch over to my Stratocaster and it was spot on. Same for Brian Mays lead tone for Queens Crazy Little Thin Called Love, switch over to my Telecaster and I could see Freddy beside me, Tony Iommi's rhythm tone for Black Sabbath's Iron Man, grab my SG and there was OZZY, back from the dead, it took 2 or 3 refreshes of the AI thing to get THE one even though the first 2 were fine. Now I'm going to try out various Amp Tones as apposed to Artist tones. The Amps themselves a few, Plexi, JCM800, Friedman are very good, there are a few stinkers, but I don't know, maybe they are all just like starting points for various styles. types and not meant to be perfect or something. I don't know

hmmmm, I hope it works out the way you are thinking, buy don't be surprised if it doesn't. It didn't for me. @locrian See post further down, pilot error, it works amazingly awesomely well.

My final thoughts, opinion for the time being would be to stay away and see if, like a fine wine it matures over time, personally I think the chances are slim. As far as sound/tone and feel are concerned, unfortunately it just doesn't have it, certainly not when compared to TONEX, and that's all that concerns me for the time being really. I'll keep an eye on it, but I'm not very confident, perhaps someone like Choptones will come along with some expansion packs to pull it up by the boots. For me I can't waist any more time on it, I gave PG another chance, the fat lady hasn't sung quite yet, but there is a lot of work to do imo to even get close to TONEX. ๐ The AI thing works very well, after my initial pilot error I'm on the track, it works very well๐

It loads extremely fast, the UI is extremely fast. It's leaps and bounds above any of the BIAS Amp or FX in a lot of ways, they seem to have learnt lessons from the past ๐. I'll keep my thoughts on sound/tone until I've had more time with it. My initial thought was that TONEX was going to be safe as my go to (and only) amp sim, but then I hit the Friedman and JCM800 and Plexi and my opinion changed somewhat, and a smile came across my dial. I still don't think it will roll TONEX, but you never know, I only installed it yesterday afternoon. After checking out all the standard fair, which will take some time on it's own, I can then go into the AI part of things, I came across part of it, but didn't go into it, seems interesting perhaps, different, somewhat unique, but whether it turns out to be something useful and something I personally would use only time will tell. You could do that in BAIS Amp (1) and ReValver 4 if we are talking about the same thing. I tried it out years ago with couple of Black Sabbath tunes that had Tony Iommi's guitar well isolated at the beginning of the tracks. It worked remarkably well back then, you couldn't tell the difference, I imagine it's only gotten better over time. Anyway, I'll keep diving into it as time permits, oh, and if anyone does try it out, remember to put that collection of 3rd party cab IR's to good use, not that the cab's included are bad, they aren't, but you know ๐

Purchased, $99 upgrade for me, I think the full was $149 or something. Off I go.

I'll be waiting at the door, wallet in hand. I own everything else they have made software wise, I personally never ran into any of the often bemoaned issues others seem to, sluggish GUI, sluggish loading etc etc. Haven't used any of it in a number of years, the Hendrix expansion was quite good as with OMNYSS, I owned all of the ChopTones expansions for Amp and FX. That was years ago, feels like it anyway. TONEX is where it's been since it's release, not really expecting that to change, but I'll give Positive Grids new release a shot and see what happens. Not long now, 6ยฝ hours if the countdown clock in the earlier Email is correct. Bring it on, if they can beat TONEX it will be a thing to behold, and will put a big smile on my dial, let's see. ๐

If you haven't already you should exclude Sonar and all the stuff you use for your music from MS Defender seeing how you have it running all the time. Just so it's not constantly scanning the stuff you are using during your sessions. Might save you a little CPU and a โ/โ or 2 ๐, likely won't cure your ill's, but something you should do in the name of giving your DAW as much available power as you can. Best of luck.

Nose, . . . face? What would Edith say? ๐ ๐ โฎ๏ธ

I think the only thing that is not working with them is their wallets. It's got some excellent stuff, a little CPU heavy in places, but it's fine, well worth it I think. A lot of them also have that Waves, IK thing going on in their heads with iZotope as well.

Yeah, it's the same.

Cakewalk Sonar Paid Membership Buffer question
jayeyehaich64 replied to Larry T.'s topic in Cakewalk Sonar
No, you are mistaken, if it was released in August 2025, it is Cakewalk Sonar to which there is a Paid version via Membership and a FREE version There hasn't been a SONAR Platinum release since around 2017 -
Cakewalk Sonar Paid Membership Buffer question
jayeyehaich64 replied to Larry T.'s topic in Cakewalk Sonar
Sorry for being a bit thick, but it is a little confusing, "Sonar Platinum premium." I've never hear SONAR Platinum referred to as that, as far as I know there is no such thing? and "Splat paid issue" again, SONAR Platinum was only ever PAID So are you using the new Cakewalk Sonar (note non capitals) or SONAR Platinum (note capitalization) or maybe easier put, are you using the newly released Sonar? SONAR <- all caps, refers to the old SONAR's, Platinum and before Sonar <- refers to the new version of Sonar to which there is a Paid version and a FREE version. -
$167.16 for Advance to Advanced, I'll take that, my better sale has arrived.

1 down, scored Falcon, that's apparently the lowest price it's been, I was going to just leave it there and wait until it went back to full price just on ethical grounds, but . . .
-
Thank you gentlemen, I think. No creating or sound design for me, it would simply be presets and expansions and such. @Fleer did you ever keep up with that Software Deactivation List?
-
Same price as that 'newish' Musio or whatever it is was going for recently, and not as low as it was a few months back, lol They're not really in my wheelhouse, and I have a lot of stuff that will do whatever is needed to be done with those strange zebra, pedestrian crossing looking things, but you know how it is . . . , which of those 2 would be best, UVI Falcon or that Musio thing? any opinions welcomed.
-
Oh, and I can't wait for this, I'm an iZotope tragic ๐ But "Fall (or Autumn) officially starts in March 21 (ish)" is a long time to be waiting, would rather not knowing about stuff until a lot closer ๐

They actually came from New Zealand I believe, we just claimed them over here on the bigger island, or 'across the ditch' as they would say. [Edit] hmmmm, thinking about it for a second, I might be thinking of Split Enz, same singer dude, Finn, Tim is it as in the House, and I think his brother, they were from New Zealand, of course the singer dude Finn (Tim?) is from New Zealand, so I don't know, confusion is setting in with these inbred bands, didn't even like them, the Enz had a couple of good songs, . . . or was that the House . . . ah

Yeah, it was fine for me 1.10.1 b
