Can I voice an opinion about Membership discounts ?
GIM Productions replied to noynekker's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
Sorry Craig but your point is specifically about Magix, I didn't even know about the company's difficulties, but Amazon could also go bankrupt if we set the tone that way. the concrete fact is that all the best audio software companies have the possibility of purchasing both a full license and a subscription, I don't think they are all stupid. -
Can I voice an opinion about Membership discounts ?
GIM Productions replied to noynekker's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
Hi,This response, for me, is the reason why Bandlab marketing decided this behavior. I've been using Sonar since it was called Twelve Tone and I was a beta tester during the Roland period. For me, this DAW is the best on the market, but it is clear that this company is not interested in the Pro world. I want to own the tools I use for my productions, I paid Wavelab a lot of money for the mastering but it is mine and I will pay only for future updates. I can't risk that if a company blocks a software that I won't be able to work, I have to be autonomous, because I have projects from 20 years ago that I have to be able to reopen at any time for various reasons. The proof is that in the Pro Sonar environment it is practically unknown, despite being a fantastic DAW. Then there is a simple economic reason, why if I use Sonar for the next ten years will I have to pay around 1,500 euros? With Samplitude Prox 8 for example I paid around 400 euros and it is mine until I decide to use it.... So for me Bandlab must decide to make a leap in quality and try to decisively enter the Pro world because it deserves it and has fantastic developers, but now it gives the impression of a strategy for a tool for kids. I think so Greetings -
Hi everyone, after a day of testing and templates created for this, I think I managed to understand the problem. I don't know why but in the presence of the AAS Lounge Lizard EP4 and Ultra Analog VA 3, when I reverse a track or export a CBB project it freezes and closes after 30 seconds. The problem only occurs with AAS, I've tried all my other VSTIs, no problem. I sent an email to support but I will also try to find out what about the AUD.INI or vsti settings can cause the problem. Greetings
-
Hi I have the last vc redist No antivirus I use the real time for export never had a problem in the last 10 years with my pc before the last CBB update Greetings
-
Hi everyone, I'm posting a problem that started after the last CBB update. It's driving me crazy, I also tried to edit some entries in the AUD.INI file but I didn't solve it. CBB is perfect but when I have to bounce to track and export the project to an audio file CBB freezes for 1 minute and closes automatically. It's not the plugins or vsti because I excluded them and I also did some tests with a single vsti that were always different and the problem continues. The strange thing is that when I export the exported file it's perfect. For a midi vsti track I'm forced to record the performance in real time in another audio track. For the rest CBB is perfect, no problem. Can you think of anything? Greetings
-
I'm glad you have precise information on the release of the full license, but until then I'm working on the new releases with CBB which works perfectly
-
I know this, but I don't want to depend on anyone, I have always purchased my software, wavelab, kontakt, including all versions from twelve tone onwards and I would like to continue doing so
-
I have always thought since it was called Pro Audio that this is the best pro DAW on the market, which is why I am waiting for the full license as soon as possible because I want to be the owner of such an important tool for my work.👍

SSL plugins update problem
GIM Productions replied to GIM Productions's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Resolved. I don't understand why but SSL creates a new directory inside the VST3 folder which obviously it doesn't recognise, I manually moved the new updated files and now CBB has scanned the files correctly. Greetings -
Hi everyone, yesterday I updated two SSL plugins and after the update with SSL application, CBB does not recognize the two plugins. Never had a problem before, same directory and the plug ins were already present in the system. Anyone else with the same experience? Greetings

Here we are not discussing whether Sonar is an excellent software or not.....Sonar is the best Pro Daw on the market, I have been a beta tester for 4 years and have been using the software since it was called Twelve Tone, but I compose and I arrange in many musical sectors and a professional wants to own the tools he uses.....that's all. I don't think I'm saying absurd things
-
hi ,if your new drive is OS drive maybe Ilock don't recognize the id system With UAD all right here
-
I'm happy that you're so sure of Cakewalk's policy, but given the latest decisions made I'm not at peace, it seems to me that already now after a few days you have to reactivate CBB and this means that they can turn off the switch whenever they want, if they then guarantee us that Even if I don't purchase Sonar I will be able to continue working with CBB. I am the happiest person in the world.
-
Yes, you're right, I think I read it wrong, but if so I'm even more worried fingers crossed
-
Of course, there are certainly companies that rent DAWs but a person who works there professionally cannot depend on the decisions of others, I want to be in possession of the tools I work with, I am more at peace?
-
ok reading the latest posts it is clear that CBB needs to review the entire marketing sector.....in the latest press releases it is written that the one available with the members pass is a public beta...there is no other information, I remember that when I was a beta tester in the Gibson era, months passed from the beta to the release of the final version, having said that I continue to believe that there will be a full paid version, because I believe that the staff is made up of intelligent people
-
In my opinion the sales policy they are choosing is absurd, but I am convinced that there are intelligent people on the Sonar staff, so I hope that soon there will be a purchasable version, I have 3 releases for the next few months and among my partners there is no not even a studio that has a rental DAW. I cross my fingers.

Perfect sir

On the subject of graphics I see many references to Live, but I remind you that Live has that graphics precisely because at the beginning it was conceived for Live use therefore with the maximum saving of resources, in fact it was ugly when it came out, but there is a reason ....DAWs like Sonar and the others were designed for studio and I repeat myself, with the power of today's processors you can structure a DAW that is graphically beautiful and allows you to do everything.......my opinion.

The Answer (membership only...)
GIM Productions replied to jackson white's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Perfect, so despite a thousand posts on the forum we are talking about a beta.....well I'll see you again when the work is finished -
I am a pro who has been using Cakewalk for hours and hours for 20 years and I have never had problems loading the processor or problems with visual fatigue and I don't think that suddenly the main need of bandlab is to make a super light but ugly DAW, considering the extraordinary power of the processors and the speed of the RAM that exists today.....just out of curiosity I tried a newly released DAW with wonderful graphics and I didn't find any problems of any kind...let's also consider that in my opinion Sonar was graphically the most beautiful daw pro on the market, for me...

Thanks for the clarifications on the company! With all due respect to you we would like to hear or have information on the future of Sonar, also from Noel Borthwick with whom we spent 20 fantastic years, at least for me, in which he was a point of reference, also on the forum, for Sonar users.
