  1. i can reproduce the EZD 3 (3.0.6) issue - the audio engine drops if i drag the MIDI from a track, but does NOT drop if i drag from the browser. the EZB (1.1.8) - cannot reproduce issue - works either way. note: this is a new completely blank project. EZD and ESB inserted in synth rack - one audio, one MIDI track per each. same MIDI content from track and browser.
  2. agreed. but a couple of them i use and they're excellent virtual representations of older synths that even a few of my other paid products cannot quite get "the sound". anyways, it's a non-issue for me either way... ? it's there, it behaves well, so i leave it. the realtek stuff otoh... oo la la...
  3. i used to use a similar Behringer 4-ch USB mixer, so unlikely the issue. since you have the metronome off, and you muted the metronome buss, if you're still hearing it, then either you have something running which is producing the metronome (like a virtual instrument - some drum VST have metronomes which play along), or somehow you recorded a metronome on a track which is why you cannot turn it off... if this last couple are the issue you can just mute some tracks to see if that is the case.
  4. agreed - exception - i use it only to handle synths that break or otherwise refuse to operate on non-even buffer sizes...
  5. possibly following Noels advice - turn off the network or otherwise hide access to the peer system and reopen the app. if that does clear it great. another bit of advice, don't open files on peer networked systems ? use your windows explorer to copy the project to your local disk. then open them. otherwise you are (like any other app using network located files) you're at the mercy of the peer system to stream the content. the exception are dedicated NAS services on a high speed network which are mapped to your system as a disk drive (no UNC as many apps fail).
  6. \m/ awesome dude! \m/ (can practically smell the sulfur and feel the heat from here!) ? downloaded what file from where? mp4 is a video format.
  7. SI-Drums is limited to 2 tracks. if you have or can install SessionDrummer, then you can get the individual tracks needed. check the box that says "all output channels" and the assign the drums in the SD mixer UI to the channels. one MIDI track, 24 audio tracks.
  8. the SI-Drums UI is just a sound player - and selecting parts of the drum to change velocity (or a rimshot) only activate the sound generator / samples. it's not like a keyboard or pads which can provide MIDI inputs to a track that can be recorded. maybe another drum VI could output MIDI but not the SI Drums.
  9. when you say, nothing changed - there were changes made in the project? or just opened and re-exporting it? as far as trust but verify - regardless of the program - always: listen, proof read, check properties, etc etc to ensure: it's what was expected in all things - the title, textual content, audio content, video content, codecs, sample rates, bit depth, etc etc etc etc. unless this is purely for yourself. as a working professional, you must check. computers are not to be trusted. especially if you're using any AI products. computers have 4 billion transistors, it's a miracle they even work. and software, well, hoo boy, where to start, but if you want bugs, check out the Mac OS 14.4.1 or the Studio One 6.6...
  10. don't be a wuss! it's not any more dangerous than BASE-jumping in L.A. ? lol my first time: i bought a "not-working" MXL v67 off ebay and was going to use the shell for a clone project, when i opened it, i found a broken wire and the capsule was dirty. so reconnected the wire, cleaned the capsule, and voila, a working mic. after that, one of my regular mics was sounding weird - cleaned it, again it worked out. did it to a few dynamic mics (SM57 and SM58) - nice and clean. so yeah, it's a bit scary at first but after you've done it a few times and also gotten all your repair manuals so you know how to properly open them (sennheiser, i'm looking at you!) it's fairly safe and the mics seem to enjoy it ?
  11. and left-over automation - sometimes shift things around and forgetting about some automation (esp on a buss) can cause the dropouts. there have been a few times when i exported something and forgot i added 4-8 measures and left the volume drop on the print buss at the original location and ended up missing those... took a minute to remember the automation...
  12. seems to be missing "linear fade in, linear fade out" ?
  13. are you using export tasks? if not, use them. you can set up the export with the exact set of tracks muted/unmuted etc the time range set the wya you want, etc. i usually create one for the WAV export and then use that to also create the MP3 version. also any stems or no vocal mixes, and of course from my recording template - tracks. so - definitely take a few moment to set up the export task. you will find it makes things very repeatable and easy. one caveat - if you add tracks - you'll need to go into each export task (load existing settings) then edit to mute/unmute and then save the settings. if you remove tracks then usually you don't need to edit those.
  14. thanks! i have no issues with ASIO4ALL. i've had it installed for years and never had a problem with it.
  15. thanks. i guess they upgraded to WDM. dunno. i only use ASIO4ALL when i need to handle some VI which only operate on even boundary buffer settings and cannot change it in my usual ASIO or WASAPI.
  16. this seems like a very personal question to be asking in a public forum ? LOL yes, i do check and pediodically clean the membranes (on my microphones). probably 12-15 years ago i read that spit and other things on the mic capsule can reduce response as well as cause noise, so i've been checking and gently cleaning - distilled water with very soft cotton pad after brushing (very soft paint brush) any dust and particles... i usually use a very low power vacuum for "dusting" the mesh on a couple of mics i have on stands all the time, and also my headphones (and cleaning any gunk of my IEM pair). for live performanc mics, i also take of the mesh and any foam windsceening and give them a good cleaning with mild soap and water and dry throughly. A/B - meaning seeing which mic is best sounding for a given source? most times no, but vocals i may have 3-4 mics initially closely set up to do some tests and record them all (just in case the test is the final one... ? ) then scale those to 1-2 once i know which ones are best for the vocals.
  17. it's possible that people still run their software on older systems. not sure if it's a wrapper or not, usually the ASIO driver will have a lot less latency than the WDM. of course, reaching out to their support folks could answer it more directly.
  18. backwards compatibilty. possibly a worse reason - they use the WDM/KS with an ASIO overlay (sort of like ASIO4ALL does using MME)
  19. here's how it works for me: 1) create the region fx - no blobs 2) simply left-click on the clip (not double-click) and the blobs appear. if you have full screen view of the melodyne window, then you might have additional steps. but if the ARA is working then you just need to sync the position in melodyne with the clip time. in best programming - this would be done for you already. since it's not (at least for me), i just automatically click on the clip once the window opens.
  20. maybe you need to install the version you signed up for from the celemony site? i know whenever i install a version or update i have to get it from the site as it contains the license. so even a trial version might need this.
  21. if you're getting a single note, it's likely the percussive algorithm is being used which results in a single note. you'll want to switch to universal etc.
  22. it may be those are the reg entries used to control if it's a region fx or not. i didn't have time to search via the uuid values and i could not find a "region fx" registry entry anywhere (even just searching "region"), so i think the BL folks will need to look at this for suggesting a fix.
