I discovered yesterday that with the most recent Cakewalk update that when clicking on the Pro-Channel folder icon in Console view the ProChannel Presets folder no longer opens which it used to, but rather the Cakewalk Core folder opens instead. Cakewalk Version 2021.01 (Build 098, 64bit) Windows 10 Version 20H2 (OS Build 19042.804) Example: Click on ProChannel presets folder icon in Console View: Opens the Cakewalk Core folder: Instead of opening the ProChannel Presets folder which is what it used to do prior to the latest update:

When I launched BandLab Cakewalk today I got this message for the first time ever. I went to HELP and REFRESH ACTIVATION and after entering the correct credentials I get the following: 1. Why am I getting the first activation message. Never received that before. 2. What's with the Sign-In Error?

Sure... read that already. The issue I stated is that the marker does indeed move however, it stops at the right side of the window even though the track plays through to the end.

I clicked something I wasn't supposed to and hopefully am explaining this well. But now when I click PLAY the track/transport/cursor/market or whatever it is called moves along the track but stops at the end of the window. The track keeps playing but there is no longer any movement. How do I fix this?

There is no MIDI driver for the Roland RD1000.

I have my Roland RD1000 88 key digital MIDI piano connected to my Digital Audio Interface with MIDI cables (MIDI Out of keyboard to MIDI In of interface, MIDI In of keyboard to MIDI Out of interface). I insert a new MIDI track in Cakewalk and when I hit RECORD and play the Roland I can see that MIDI data is being captured and recorded by Cakewalk. I want the captured MIDI data to trigger the SI-Piano instrument VST I have loaded in Cakewalk but I get not sound. I am assuming that I need to route the captured MIDI track to another track with the SI-Piano which I've tried to do several times and still no sound. How do I get the MIDI data transmitted from my Roland RD1000 to trigger the SI-Piano VST and record it in Cakewalk? This is driving me nuts! Thanks

All of a sudden in one project I am working on when it gets to just about the end of the song Cakewalk stops with the following message: I looked up what message 5 is and it says either the disc is fragmented (which it is not as I just defragged prior to working on this project) or to increase the buffer size in Audio / Sync and Caching / Playback I/O Buffer Size (KB). The I/O buffer size is set to 256 I assume by default. I increased it to 356 but the same thing happens! What size should the be? Why is this suddenly happening as it has not prior at all while working on the project? Thanks

Since having to rebuild my computer and re-install Bandlab Cakewalk a number of the built in FXs no longer show a list of presets. For example: Sonitus Compressor only shows the following: However, on my backup machine with Bandlab Cakewalk installed, Sonitus Compressor shows the following presets: Another example is Sonitus EQ only shows the following presets. However there is a whole list of presets in the same FX on my backup machine: How do I fix this? Thanks

I think I discovered the problem. I believe it has something to do with the automation on one track. When I remove the automation the issue goes away.

Here is a .dmp file from the crash. I don't know how to read it. I did open it up in a debug viewer but don't know what I am looking at. The 8th line down in the attached image is bolded. I assume that is the issue? Can't Help Falling In Love_01112021_134133.dmp

Ok, I followed your suggestion. I've included the VstScan.log here. There were a number of pop up windows about missing things when I ran RESET. I wrote them all down and believe I fixed the issue. However, after running a VST scan again and then opening my project it still crashes with the following. I have a deadline that I need to finish this project today. Any more help or suggestions are greatly appreciated. VstScan.log

Since having to rebuild the OS and re-install all applications on my computer last week, Cakewalk is now taking up to 5 minutes and sometimes longer to open a project. It also sits just as long showing the following: VST Scan Searching for plugins.... Any ideas as to why it is so slow and how to speed it back up? thanks
