I've now uninstalled all of BLC again and have re-installed it. Melodyne does get installed however, I can't find it anywhere within Cakewalk. Another question: Is Melodyne that comes with BLC only good for 30 days as a trial? Thanks
-
Thanks. I' ve tried what is outlined in that post. I found and removed the registry installer entry for Melodyne and Bandlab Assistant now allows me to check the box to install. However, after doing so and telling it to install it's been sitting at Initializing for the past 45 minutes.

I just uninstalled and re-installed BLC. Melodyne is greyed out in the installation and does not appear after the installation is complete.

Don't I have to uninstall BLC in order to do a re-install?

[SOLVED] Can't hear my bass guitar well when recording.
tdehan replied to tdehan's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
As I stated, it would be nice to get an email notification that there has been a response or update to any post. All of the other forums I belong to do this. Odd that this one does not. As a result, when there is no response of an update via email and I solve the issue myself, I forget most times about the post. -

It would be great if I received email notifications from the forum when there is a response to a post. However, as I've stated prior, I don't get a notification (and no....nothing is in my JUNK folder). With that said, yes it would be great if the 2i2 had a blend control like my other 2 interfaces do. To fix the issue, I used the DIRECT MONITOR button which allowed me to hear the bass just fine and finish the recording. Thanks for all the responses. (John and pdickens, I don't know what seems to be up you shorts....) -
I was trying to use Melodyne for the first time today. Bandlab Assistant says that it is installed. However, when I went to use it I got an error message saying it could not find it. I went to the path that the error message said Bandlab was looking for it it and discovered that it was not there. I then copied the the Melodyne folder from my back up computer VST3 folder and pasted it in my main computer. I then told BLC to re-scan my plugins. It's been sitting at rescanning Melodyne now for over an hour. How do I fix this? Thanks

I've tried both with the INST button pressed in and without. -
[SOLVED] Can't hear my bass guitar well when recording.

I am using a Focusrite 2i2 3rd Gen Scarlett interface. When I plug my bass guitar in to record I can barely hear the bass when I am playing. The levels are up, I can hear the other mixed tracks just fine. But the volume of the bass when I am recording is extremely low which causes me to end up playing harder than I want. Any suggestions? Thanks -
I've been working on a new project for a couple weeks now, as recently as yesterday. Today however, when i try to import an Audio file into ANY project it does not import. How do I fix this? Windows 10 BL 27.01.0.098

Recorded vocals are ahead of the instrument tracks

Unfortunately I have no idea what you are referring to or even how to proceed with it. -
Recorded vocals are ahead of the instrument tracks

I got it working. With both my Presonus and Behringer interfaces I've been using a short 3 foot USB extension cable to plug into in order to reach the back of my PC. Apparently the Focusrite does not like that. The USB cable with the Focusrite is very short and apparently needs to be plugged in directly without a USB extension cable. So, that issue is solved. Regarding the main issue of this post I've just resigned my self to nudging the vocal track to the right 5 increments in order to line it up. Will see what happens with my next project. Thanks for all the help everyone. It certainly is a mystery. -

New Issue:!! I just received my new Focusrite Scarlett 212 3rd Gen. Hooked it up to my PC to see if perhaps the issue I'm having above might be taken care of. Funny thing... I can't even get any sound out of the Focusrite! What should I be selecting in Drive Mode for this thing? I've tried ASIO, WDM/KS, WASAPI Exclusive and Shared and MME. I get no audio out of my headphones attached to the new unit. Windows recognizes the new unit just fine. This is getting maddening! -

Ok, I just tried it again with the same mic and no effects. Same thing happens. When I am recording everything sounds just fine. Upon playback the vocal track is ahead of the instrument tracks. I need to nudge the focal track to the right 5 increments to sync up. Weird! -

Not USB, XLR going through same interface. -

Yes, I am recording the vocal track with effects turned on for the track. This has never caused an issue prior and I am using the same effects I always use on my vocals. I will try it with the effects turned off. -

Everything is the same except I am using a different mic for the vocal track. Perhaps I should try my other mic that I typically use for vocals. However, I have used this particular mic to record my wife's vocals with no issue before. -

I am not looping a section or punching in. I have no idea what ARM changes are. -

The strange thing here in my mind is that, this tune I am working on is the only one that exhibits this behavior! None of my other projects that I've laid down vocals has this issue. And the other really strange thing to me is that it is ONLY the vocal track that is doing this. I started this tune with a MIDI drum track, MIDI strings and MIDI guitar. I then added audio tracks for bass, strummed guitar, picked guitar and harmonica. No problem until I added a vocal track. This is what is so puzzling to me as it is only happening on this project and none of the others... -

Ok, thanks for the clarification. What buffer size should I try? With regards to the Driver Mode, if I change it to anything other than ASIO my Presonus Audiobox USB96 interface does not get recognized and instead Cakewalk reverts to my internal sound card. -

I am not clear exactly what you are suggesting I try. Could you kindly be more specific? Thanks -

The instruments are a combination of MIDI and real instruments. So it's a combo of MIDI and wave files. The MIDI instruments are all TTS-1. There's no issue with the instrument tracks being out of sync. I have not changed or updated audio drivers. -
This is really weird and the first time I've experienced this. I am trying to lay down the vocal track to a new song. I've already recorded the instruments. But when I record the vocal track and play it back it comes in ahead of the instrument tracks. In order to fix it I have to NUDGE the vocal track to the right by 5. As mentioned, this has never happened before with vocals I've laid down. Any ideas?
