Feature request: Disable plugin from Browser or plugin properties
petemus replied to petemus's topic in Feedback Loop
Probably, yes. You could easily drag'n'drop a plug onto a track and decide it's fate and then say goodbye to it easily, if need be. -
As a chronic GAS person, I have a lot of plugins. I know plugins can be excluded from the Plug-in Manager, but that's a bit hard as you first have to check out what the plugin is on a track or bus and then go to the manager to disable it. Could it be possible to exclude a plugin within the Browser? That way, grooming the plugin set would be a bit more streamlined. When I come to think of it, an even better place for the disablement command would actually be the plugin menu: A small feature, but would help (at least me) a lot, I think. Enabling the plugins, when in regret, would happen as it does now, from the Plug-in Manager.

Sure! ?

It seems we both did, @marled ! ?

Have to add a suggestion for that to the VoS site comments...

With this you actually can: https://sourceforge.net/projects/equalizerapo/ You can make any kind of VST chain you like (excluding those that only work with CbB). Another thing is, though, does it mess with your Windows audio in some ways detrimental to DAW use? I would think it does not affect ASIO side of things, but who knows.

Judging from a quick try, the seem to work just fine! Baxter and Density - back to the toolbox. As well as all the others... ?

Since we already have the option to define the names separated by a '|', it would be quite easy to add a way to exclude the number from the menu item text as well. E.g. start the friendly name with a minus sign, asterisk or such to make the numbers disappear, it would just be an extension of the "syntax". This would make it possible for the ones that don't want the numbers to show at all to hide them. Cumbersome and techy, yes, but possible for them who are irritated and confused by the odd numbering scheme provided by the driver. Just my 1,98 cents here...

Yes! ?

Importing 100 wave files on a timeline one after another
petemus replied to Elena Kolpakova's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
While you're at it, would it be a good idea to show an option display/menu/whateva for the dragged'n'dropped files? You could then select if you want them inserted on one track or on tracks for each file, at the now position, at the start of the project, laid out tightly after one another, or with a specified gap between them etc. -
If you select a time region by clicking between markers in the ruler, you can't use the envelope shelf tool (or whatever it's called) to create an adjustable section for the envelope: Should this work, or should you always select a region on the track itself? Making the selection with the ruler click would be an easy way to create a precise envelope section for marked sections. If you first make a selection from the ruler and then select the envelope track, the shelf tool works correctly.

Option to Exclusively Arm One Track at a Time for Recording
petemus replied to insickness's topic in Feedback Loop
It would be nice, if the currently armed track count would be visible somewhere in the control bar, say, near the global arm button etc. You could then easily check the number of armed tracks before hitting R... I've developed a habit of first hitting the global arm button to remove the armed status from all tracks and then arming the track I'm about to record on. -
Could it be the castanet hits are too even in volume and a bit too precisely on the grid? Maybe the runs could have slightly more dynamics in them as well, the accents a bit more prominent. The castanet sound could also maybe have a bit more body, it's quite thin-ish as it is, comparing to castanet video clips in YT. I'm a Finn, btw, just to put my suggestions into perspective. Not too much spanish blood in me, so what do I know. ?

Ctrl + Alt + F (zoom the entire project into the view horizontally) is also a good way to check this - you immediately know if the project end is where it should be or not. So is actually Ctrl + End as well as it takes you to the project end, whatever CbB deems it to be.
-
It might be better to check if there are automation nodes, events or such, well past the last audible stuff (midi/audio clips) in the project, which would cause the export be longer than the user might expect if he/she just selects all and fires away with exporting.
-
I have a habit of adding markers Start and End to every project, then select everything between them for export. Then again, I always also export from my Master bus, and don't use the other options ("What you hear" etc.). Maybe it requires a few clicks more, but the export is always what I want it to be, at least in regards to what portion of the project to export. Now, if CbB only remembered the export settings for a project better, I'd be a happy camper... ?

Damn this forum! How could I not have bought that plugin? I should never come here, but still return time after time... The studio rooms alone are wonderful judging on just a short test.

Those amp models are fuchsing amazing!

I got Fuchs Train II... AND the Overdrive Supreme guitar amps. Didn't expect very much, but sure was positively surprised. Been playing with them all day, and I have to say you can get quite big and soulful sounds out of these, no matter what guitar you feed 'em with. All the PA plugins I have are awesome. They're quite expensive, but they are excellent, seemingly without exceptions.

Yes, and everything we paid for is still usable, if installed...
-
The sliders and meters could also stretch up to utilize available screen estate better...
-
I went for it, too... I think the Super '66 is very nice. Had to get my Strat out and play some Apache with the Echorec & Vox combo...

I use it with iZotope RX8, works like a charm. Actually, I'd like to see the clip context menu have the external WAV editor command as well - it's a long way from the clips to the main menu... ?

I've found Systemwide doesn't like ASIO buffer size changes very much with my RME UCX (nor with my earlier Scarlett 2i2). At best, it requires a restart of the audio engine, at worst, Systemwide crashes, but works fine after relaunch. BTW, Sonarworks lowered the upgrade prices yesterday. For Europe, it was 119€ from Reference 4 Studio to corresponding SoundID Reference, now it's 89€. Still a bit steep, but I (of course) fell for it and have now been playing with the new version a bit. The new translation checker seems interesting, don't know if it's worth the price, but it's nice. Overall, the GUI is better looking now, and resizable. Systemwide hasn't given me any s*it since last night. ? Haven't created a new calibration yet for my Genelecs, but probably will just to see, if there's anything new there as well.

Went and got it for $55 with existing HG-2 licence and a $25 voucher. Now I just have to find time to fiddle with it... Did I need it - highly doubt it - but it's surely gonna be "nice". ?
