And WebView version can be out of sync with Edge (it's a bit of a pain to keep them in sync) - no idea if that causes this kind of issue (combined with MSVC mismatches).

And if you're worried about disk space, NTFS-compress the folder it's in.

Also check if you're using Double Precision/64 bit audio and disable it if you are. You never know but Spire may be incompatible with it.

Vertically or horizontally?

This sounds like you are using a workspace: you've edited one of the factory ones and use that, then the installer comes along and replaces the factory ones, resetting your changes. Use a user workspace and they won't get overwritten.

I think that's the best track of yours I've heard - it's hauntingly familiar (and haunting!) in a really good way. I'd mix the lead "theremin" with a little less top end and a little more delay/reverb, but apart from that, I think it's a great mix.

True! When I get round to compiling the album it's on, I'll probably revisit the drums and see if I can improve at least in part.

I agree about the drum part. I was finding it hard to find a good 3/4 pattern in my usual arsenal and my drum programming skills are...rusty to say the least.
