Yeah, this is the sad tale of a musician who didn't have the chops to elegantly finish his performance... Edit: He always really wanted to be a guitarist but could never master his axe...
-
That's because it's a cheap, cheap production...
-
Really all depends on what your trying to do... check out the LinnStrument video posted earlier. For a lot of stuff, like if all you're doing is mimicking acoustic piano tracks, they're probably not worth the extra cost/hassle. But for the right material - priceless. Granted even for those cases if you had the correct controller knobs mapped out and could play the parts one handed then no real need. Or if you'd rather spend hours or days adding/editing automation after you've recorded the basic part.
-
Interesting, but if I was going to be spending $ in that range I'd go for the the LinnStrument

Could be handy. Looks like they give you both a PC & Mac licenses but... Now days not sure what I would use it for... Maybe for use with Logic? - assuming I ever get another Mac...
-
Don't know if it's automatable but https://products.zplane.de/products/peel/ looks like it does the same thing(s)
-
I heard installation is a night mare.
-
Correction lowest price $130.25 - directly from zplane website. For some reason when I checked last week price with coupon came out higher...
-
I'm not doing Juan even if he has my number. I don't roll that way...
-
This fixed the problem I had with Output Thermal v3 crashing Cakewalk!
-
If you're looking for a new license (not an upgrade) Sweetwater has the best price - $137
-
222 to go until we hit 7 freebies. If only I had more items to indulge in...

Don't forget Phil's bedroom studio v2 with 3D movable groupie placement - pick between Blonde, Redhead or Brunette filters. Place one in front of that guitar player/keyboardist/bass player/drummer who never thinks they're loud enough in the mix to make them forget that you're even doing a mix.

I haven't used Sytrus* in a while but it's one of my favorite synths *been focusing on guitar oriented material lately...
-
I respect your opinion but I have to disagree with the merit of your argument, as I see it improving the host is perhaps the most efficient way to improve the collections.
-
All of the collections were updated for AT5, the degree depends on your version of AT5. All versions of AT5 now have resizable GUI drag & drop FX chain FX loop etc - check out comparison below.

Just saw the email, then this post. Sale lasts throughout August. The walk through sounds quit lovely.

SPAN Plus version 1.15 released August 19, 2021: Voxengo is happy to announce the release of SPAN Plus version 1.15 - an extended real-time “fast Fourier transform” audio spectrum analyzer plug-in for professional music and audio production applications. SPAN Plus is available in AAX, AudioUnit, VST, and VST3 plug-in formats, for macOS and Windows computers. SPAN Plus is an extended version of the freeware SPAN plug-in: SPAN Plus provides several additional features such as PNG file export, real-time spectrum import/export, static spectrums display, and a “wide” spectrum display. Version 1.15 includes the following changes: · Added CSV/Excel format support to Static spectrums load/save function (during save a file extension should be specified explicitly). Added "Static" button to the "Wide" display mode SPAN Plus provides you with a very flexible “mode” system which you can use to setup your spectrum analyzer preferences. You may specify Fourier block size in samples, FFT window overlap percentage, spectrum's visual slope. Beside that you can choose to display secondary spectrum of a desired type (e.g. real-time maximum, all-time maximum). Spectrum can be smoothed out visually for an easier examination. SPAN Plus supports multi-channel analysis and can be set to display spectrums from two different channels or channel groups at the same time. Spectrum's color can be chosen to taste. SPAN Plus also features output level metering with adjustable ballistics and integration time, K-metering (including calibration K-metering). SPAN Plus displays level metering statistics, headroom estimation and clipping detection. Correlation metering is available as well. SPAN Plus features: Real-time spectrum import/export PNG file export CSV spectrum file load/save Static spectrums display Output signal power statistics Spectrum smoothing User interface window resizing True peak and clipping statistics Correlation meter EBU R128 LUFS/LU metering K-metering Stereo and multi-channel analysis Mid/side analysis Internal channel routing Channel grouping Preset manager Undo/redo history A/B comparisons Contextual hint messages All sample rates support Retina and HighDPI support Demo version of SPAN Plus can be downloaded freely at the Voxengo web site: https://www.voxengo.com/product/spanplus/?eref=ml

XLN is constantly updating their software - they just aren't adding features. To say it's abandoneware is to ignore the definition of the term. It's a tool that works well - and that for me is the bottom line.
-
Aside from it being a bit phallic - nothing gay about that image. What's your problem?

Sometimes all you need is a quicky... I'll get my hat

Maybe, maybe not. Last years group buy hit max level. As the # of freebies increase so does the interest - so people who would otherwise scoff at joining become tempted. Also a number of people, like me, are waiting for hardware shipments to arrive. Will it hit the 25 mark - probably not, but I think it has a good chance of hitting 10 or more which still would be awesome.
