So many questions. Among them... Will the native plugins ONLY be available via subscription or will permanent licenses be available. if you have native versions will you get free (or discounted) UAD versions - or vice versa. and for the majority of this forum's membership. When will permanent licenses be sold for $29
-
Re: WUP - I always thought BARF would be a better acronym (Basic Audio Renewal Financing) and it would match the taste left in your mouth after making a payment.
-
and the subscription looks like a lite variation of Komplete Select. You only get a partial subset of that library (with a couple different items included) but every month they will add something new. I guess that way they can probably string you along for several years before they run through the current content. Like Adobe once your subscription ends you own nothing*. *I could be wrong but that's how I'm interpreting the following quote from their KOMPLETE-NOW web page:
-
Looks like v2 is to support their subscription mode - see left side menu, item under Library. and here (link below) is NA's subscription page. Service is called KOMPLETE-NOW (yup ,spelled all in caps) : https://www.native-instruments.com/en/specials/komplete/komplete-now/ $9.99 a month 100% not interested but YMMV.

Targeted offer?: Spitfire Audio - Free Gift Card Offer – Ends Soon
TheSteven replied to Bad Penguin's topic in Deals
Heads up - this sale ends Thursday March 31st. -
Heavyocity has had a download manager for quite a while, they're on v2.x now. Per Heavyocity's website: "FOUNDATIONS is a line of professional-quality free instruments, designed to inspire the next generation of film, TV, and game scores." So similar to Spitfire Audio Lab, I guess. I have no beef with free professional-quality instruments.
-
Just spitballing, but probably because it gives you more control over the login & installation process and thus better hacker protection. It's easier & faster to change code on the server than to redistribute installers. I'm seeing more of this kind of thing as time goes on...

My bad, missed that this was an update not a new release ? Changed thread title to reflect actual nature of release.

Looks like there is no intro price discount - $59.95 is MSRP. I expect 3rd party resellers to soon be offering better price. ++++++++++++++++++++++++ March 19, 2022: Voxengo is happy to release Peakbuster version 1.4, an attack-phase boosting and harmonic enhancement plugin for professional music and sound production applications, available in AAX, AudioUnit, VST, and VST3 plugin formats, for macOS and Windows computers. Version 1.4 features a redesigned user interface. The amount of effect can be chosen independently for the lower and higher frequency ranges: this permits use of Peakbuster on a variety of program material, both full mixes and individual tracks. Additionally, due to the nature of the algorithm’s design, Peakbuster applies a unique harmonic coloration or enhancement: so, even if the gain adjustment meter shows only a minimal transient boosting amount at a given time, the plug-in still transforms the sound being processed in a way that to some engineers may sound “on a completely another level”; we at Voxengo would call it “beyond tube warmness”. Peakbuster features: Automatic transient boosting Selectable processing band count Stereo processing Up to 8x oversampling 64-bit floating point processing Preset manager Undo/redo history A/B comparisons Contextual hint messages All sample rates support Zero processing latency Demo version of Peakbuster can be downloaded freely at the Voxengo web site: https://www.voxengo.com/product/peakbuster/?eref=ml

Targeted offer?: Spitfire Audio - Free Gift Card Offer – Ends Soon
TheSteven replied to Bad Penguin's topic in Deals
@Bad Penguin thanks! I missed seeing the email yesterday. Edit: Ah... Fine print. You received gift card up on a purchase. Promotion ends midnight March 31, 2022. Gift cards are valid until midnight August 31, 2022. Look like it is being advertised on their website so presumably open to all. So maybe not as sexy as a $10 off upon a purchase, still nice. -
Note If you already have latest version of ADSR installed can just log in an have access to The Drop. In ADSR you can access your account panel by either using the View menu at the top or clicking on the man in the cloud on the left edge of the program. Note: if you haven't downloaded sample with ADSR it will ask for the download location - this location cannot be in one of the scanned locations. If you try you may not see the error message and it will put the downloads in its default location: ..\Documents\ADSR\Downloads

Not that there aren't occasional issues but for the most part iLok problems are XP era issues... Had/have more problems with assorted VST3 plugins - still constantly seeing developers of all stripes (for example Arturia's latest updates) releasing VST3 bug fixes. I use to not care for iLok but the last time I had to switch computers - my iLok plugins were all installed, activated & working by the 2nd day; it took me weeks to completely install/activate all the others.

I recently got an email about from PSP about a coupon code that drops my price to $28.98 Still on the fence though... Usually with any interesting plugin there would be a 1/2 dozen or more gushing reviews/demo videos out, I'm only seeing the one linked on PSP's website. Anyone here taken the time to run it through its paces?

Already got SplitEQ & SP2016. Updates are usually free. When I chatted with Eventide support about upgrading the only potential benefit they mentioned was everything would be under one license. So no compelling reason for me to spend $39.
-
Anthology XII = Anthology XI + H9 Plug-In Series or am I missing something? For $39 I can upgrade to Anthology XI + H9 Plug-In Series to Anthology XII, but no new plugins.

He has a number of excellent Cakewalk videos tutorials. Creative Sauce for example:

(text form email announcement) The Unfinished 10th Anniversary Twenty Twelve Eight re-released soundsets now available to download for free! Note this link takes you to The Unfinished freebie page where there are 11 other free libraries offered! Back in 2012, I started my journey as The Unfinished. To kick off my 10th anniversary celebrations I have decided to make the eight soundsets I released that year available to download for free. All eight were removed from my site a little while ago in a clean-up operation but, were still available as part of either the Massive Bundle or the Absynth Bundle. Now, they are available to all and absolutely free! The soundsets are Absynth Geometron, Absynth Heliopolis, Absynth Metatron, Massive Ammunition, Massive Darkscore I, Massive Darkscore II, Massive Darkscore III and Massive Stratosphere. There are over 900 sounds in the collection. These are the soundsets that inspired my first forays into bespoke programming and also gave me the confidence to quit my job, move to London to live with my then girlfriend (now wife) and begin this whole mad adventure, so they all mean a great deal to me. Take care of them! To reflect their free release into the wild, the prices for both the Absynth and Massive Bundles has been reduced. If you have bought either bundle recently, get in touch and I will be happy to provide a partial refund reflecting this. Right, I'm off to create some wallpapers for the website, so you can enjoy some of your favourite The Unfinished artwork on your desktop. All the best, Matt

In the current installer you can change the install location for VST2 versions by clicking on 'VST2 plugins' and then the 'Browse' button as shown in the image below. the installer will create a 'ToneBoosters' folder in the location you select or create. You can't change the location of the VST3, AAX or Standalone versions - although you can opt to not have them installed.. The VST3 versions will be installed at C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\ToneBoosters The Standalone versions are installed at C:\Program Files\ToneBoosters

I like PSP's stuff and but even with the combined discounts - don't know if I need yet another saturator... Be interested in hearing the opinion of anyone who has actually tried it. My current favorite saturation plugin at the moment is Thermal by Output
