Universal Audio 1176 Classic Limiter Collection Super Flash Deal
TheSteven replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
These and other things lead me to assume that UAD's development team is MAC based. No offense intended to my MAC using brethren. Note on iLok - I'm a PC user and I don't have issues with iLok (and haven't since Windows 98) but as they say YMMV. -
It's currently also $35 at https://www.audiodeluxe.com/products/audio-plugins/united-plugins-transmutator Is $35 the usual running price for this plugin? As opposed the MSRP of $69. At one point AudioDeluxe had it for $12, maybe it was an introductory price... (United Plugins does have killer intro prices on their plugins) Don't have a pressing need for this at the moment so I'm going to wait till BF to see if it hits a similar price.

Universal Audio 1176 Classic Limiter Collection Super Flash Deal

Interesting... and slightly disappointing. I've had to deal with kind of issue with apps written with older programming SDKs. Most likely to bite you if you have one of the smaller 4K monitors and need to use text scaling so that menus and program text isn't microscopic. A fix not mentioned is to downgrade your display resolution (for example to 1920 x 1080) so that your scaling is set to 100%. It sucks to spend extra money on a high resolution monitor and then not use it that way, but on my last day gig it was the only fix for an app that many people were required to run to do their job. Thankfully not my issue, hopefully not yours. Note if you try to move the VST3 plugin out from the "C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\uaudio_polymax.vst3" folder you'll have a different kind of blury issue because the plugin stores its resources in under "C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\uaudio_polymax.vst3\Contents\Resources" instead of any of the standard Windows locations. -
Universal Audio 1176 Classic Limiter Collection Super Flash Deal

Congrats! If I could get it for $14 I'd grab it. At $39 I'll have to pass. -
Not likely. According to https://musicsoftwaredeals.com/price-history/gem-comp76-compressor-limiter-by-overloud/ this is the lowest Comp76 has been on sale for and the sale is only at AudioDeluxe not at Overloud. Overloud doesn't have a history (as far as checking my emails back several years reveals) of having Labor Day sales.

2 minutes of checking things online reveal that while Plamen has some nice features (both have a somewhat similar GUI and a multiband approach) Saturn offers a more features (saturation types, modulation, drive on top of saturation, etc.) for approximately $110 additional (at this moment in time) more. https://www.fabfilter.com/help/saturn/using/bandcontrols https://www.fabfilter.com/products/saturn-2-multiband-distortion-saturation-plug-in as such I personally don't consider them all that similar. Getting Plamen might obsolete my various preamp type plugins. The real question is does Plamen offer something you need that merit the current price of $17 to $19 to add it to your collection. Not dissing Plamen but if price is the only qualifying factor and you can live without VST3 you can pick up Omicide (a 4 band distortion plugin) for free at https://ohmsweet.ohmforce.com/pages/legacy-ohmicide

^ and it's $10 cheaper that the UAD version. I found multiple reviews that rated Overloud Gem Comp76 higher that the UAD version. e.g. https://integraudio.com/best-fet-compressor-plugins/ or http://indierecordingdepot.com/t/re-aaron-narace-overloud-1176-and-uad-1176/3797

I now have a Labor Day coupon in my cart that drops the price by another $50 to $299

Loopcloud Sounds: Your new go-to plugin for sounds
TheSteven replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
If you're signing up under the Artist's subscription you might as well get a free month... -
I have not tried it but based on the video demo it has been on my wannabuy list...
-
I bought it at PluginBoutique. So $5 extra for the freebie.

Looks like it. Softube deals tend to be short lived, I missed out on a couple because I was either late to the party or I was waffling on whether to pony up or not. Good thing is Softube has frequent sales so eventually it'll be on sale again, maybe on BF.

I've had my UA account for a while - with nothing in it i.e. no plugins or hardware. I might have signed up just to get on their newsletter list. Once I installed the plugin via UA Connect it took moments for the discount to hit my UA account. Maybe it takes longer if you've just created a new account? Dunno if that applies to you, etc. just making speculations with no data.

I've got Acid-reflux, should I be concerned?
-
It was claimed by Dudley... he was angry he didn't get a 2nd voucher code.
-
Don't let the price throw you off - it's a very nice synth and if I recall correctly plenty of free patches available directly from GForce.

My system notified me that Korg Software Pass had an update. Installed it and... now all the Korg plugins are showing the correct version numbers and the updates all installed correctly. Click on the icon to the left of your name to locate the "Refresh" option to update the displayed plugin version number(s) after installing. At least for me the Korg Software Pass was a pain to previously use. Nice update.

Pro X +22 additional plugins worth over $3,000 What the **** are they talking about? Are they throwing in all the FL Studio plugins with this deal? I.E. upgrading you or giving you the FL Studio All Plugins Edition? Update: Here's the 20 plugins (in orange text), they are Antares plugins : So are the 20 plugins part of the Unlimited Suite subscription and go away in one year if you don't resubscribe for an additional year? I am assuming so since the only plugin mentioned anywhere as having a perpetual license is the AutoTune Pro X.

If you want this and don't have it, it is currently on sale %75 off for 2,75€

Ditto. If I really start to use GP then I'll consider dishing out for an upgrade.

Great idea, just never thought of doing this. Your post is pretty self explanatory. Opened up Cakewalk, played around and think I've got. Any particular reason for the "print" buss as opposed to using the Master?
