Well, although I am a native Californian, I don't care for such sentiments. I don't support xenophobic philosophies and I'm not saying that you're accusing me of such. Just thought the bumper sticker was humorous. So hey, will the last person boarding this submarine please close the screen door behind them?

Same here* just don't have as many Orange Slices. Been waiting for this sale to pickup those basses. *Except I passed on the Angelic Keys, already got too many pianos. Even got an extra license for EW Platinum Pianos if anyone want to buy it.

Reminds me of a bumper sticker I once saw: Welcome to California! Now go home - and take a friend.

So sorry to hear. My condolences for you and your family.

Did a quick comparison between Massive X , Phase Plant & Pigments - I liked Pigments the best. Note that I'm a synth hacker not a programmer. Don't have patience to program a patch from scratch but can fine tune something that's ballpark or that I find interesting. Real quick gloss-over, superficial summary: Massive X - not really ready for prime time. That you can't use your own wave files anywhere is a major disappointment. Like the sound quality. Hopefully will mature into a killer synth. Phase Plant - a beast, can probably make this thing take over a small country but more than I want to deal with when I want to use a synth. Wasn't overly impressed with patches but probably wasn't in right frame of mind at time that I was checking it out. Will give this a more serious look next time it goes on sale but for now passing on this. Pigments - favorite of the 3. Things I like: GUI, great feedback on what's going on Can use my own wave forms as oscillators, be nice if I could use them in other areas such as for LFO For me it feels very tweak friendly i.e. easy to find what I'm looking for when hacking a patch. Other I really like like some of the patches but IMHO a lot are mediocre / unimpressive. Like I said this is a superficial summary. YMMV. Peace out - have a great 4th of July!

Thanks for links. A 6.4 for Searles Valley - about 160 miles from my location. Look like that location has had a lot of minor recent activity lately. Searles Valley has had: (M1.5 or greater) 8 earthquakes in the past 24 hours 10 earthquakes in the past 7 days 38 earthquakes in the past 30 days 307 earthquakes in the past 365 days with this being biggest of the batch

If anyone is sitting on the fence about this the sale is supposed to end today July 4th. There was a problem on Arturia's web site last night where the sale price wasn't what hit the shopping cart but looks like they fixed it.

Lasted several minutes. A couple of thing fell over but no serious damage here, don't know where it was centered or anything else at the moment.

(from newsletter) Dear Customer, We are happy to announce the release of Blue Cat's Late Replies 1.4. https://www.bluecataudio.com/Products/Product_LateReplies/ This new version adds new built-in effects, hundreds of new presets and sub-presets, a new presets browser, and many other improvements! (full change list below). This is a free update that you can download from the same location as the original full version (you may have to refresh the web page) What's New: New features: New presets (and sub-presets) browser with built-in search. Added more than 100 presets and sub-presets including reverbs, modulation effects, vintage delays & reverbs, special effects... PRE and POST effects strips now have their own presets. MIDI Program Change preference is now saved into session instead of global preferences, so each instance can now use different MIDI channels. It is also saved in the user default preset. VST3: added program change support for VST3 plug-in format. VST3: added MIDI output support for VST3 plug-in format. Built-in plug-ins: New Level (volume control) and Micro EQ built-in plug-ins. Added a gain parameter to several built-in plug-ins to avoid volume changes when switched on/off (pitch and frequency shifters, modulation effects, delays). Increased knobs precision for pitch shifter and waveshaper built-in plug-ins for smoother control. Third party plug-ins host: VST and VST3 plug-ins previously displayed as missing because of name changes are now relocated automatically (Waves major updates, 32 and 64-bit plug-ins with different names etc.) Improved auto-relocation performance when a large number of plug-ins have moved. VST3 Host: added MIDI output and program change support for recenlty updated VST3 plug-ins. Other fixes and improvements: Fixed an issue with hosted plug-ins editors not always restored in the right position in Cubase on Windows. VST: the user interface is now properly resized in Cubase on Windows. Mac: fixed issue with Magic Mouse that could trigger drag and drop instead of mouse click. Spectrum analyzer display of built-in EQ will not take priority over DAW or other plug-ins user interfaces. Changing the slope of lowpass and highpass filters in the built-in EQ is now smoother. Miscellaneous user interface performance improvements. Enjoy! The Blue Cat Audio Team

Some food for thought... Massive X is probably the one that will undergo the most mods in the next 6 months and the updates will be free.

Been waiting for this! One of my favorite audio companies.

From what i recall reading here & there... - Samsung is probably slightly faster, but this one ain't bad.. This drive uses cheaper chips whose cells can wear out/fail but it's intentionally over provisioned, ie they have extra cells on standby to be dynamically used when failure occurs and according to the specs this is supposed to give comparable life. I'm just a bit leary because my hard drives get put through a lot of wear & tear.

My wife has always said that our goal as parents (aside from all the other stuff) was to raise our kids so that they would require the minimal amount of therapy as adults. God, there were times when I thought we had utterly failed in that; but so far it's looking good. I do regret that none of my kids has any real interest in audio/music other than as a causal consumer. You can give a kid an instrument but unless they have the fire in the belly it'll end up in the closet.

FYI current deal runs until July 4th*. *Arturia's wording. No specification of time zone, etc. or whether deal is through July 4th or until July 4th.

If you have it with the rest of the Kilohearts there's tons of options. But how good does the synth really sound? I've got a number of synths I can throw Kilohearts on top of. I'm going to try & demo it in the next day or so...

Now $347 Great capacity, even at new price compared to list price $1,799? or over $1,000 on web this would seem like a great deal. Still... Anyway, here is a review https://hothardware.com/reviews/micron-5100-eco-and-max-ssd-review

Thanks Jesse. In Custom Shop if you click on ad for the Tape Machines it only shows you links to Buy and a More Info which doesn't tell you how to obtain trail. I just wasn't looking in the right area. Also it wasn't showing up in my T-Racks 5 because it needed an update and didn't indicate it. Don't know why they can't include the info or link to that info on their web site (or in Custom Shop). Bad business to not enable potential customers in finding what they need. In my case this led me to checking out u-he's Satin which I now think better suits my needs. I'm still going to check this out but IKM's web design flaw probably cost them a sale.
