FWIW I have an old dual core pc running win7 with a firewire interface in WDM mode (it just works better that way than ASIO - I have no idea why) and Sparkle has always worked fine in whatever CW version I was using at the time. That said, it's been a while since I used it last so I haven't tried on the latest CW version which seems to struggle even playing back some projects that played fine in the version I had installed before (2019.09 IIRC) and also synths seem to hit the cpu more than previously too. I'm seriously considering reverting to 2019.09 as there seems to be no up side of having the latest version in my case.

FYI, if you ever get invited to a Catholic wedding make sure that unfortunately you have other commitments that day. I went to one once because I didn't know that it would be any different to a "regular" one, but I lost the will to live long before they were done with the ceremony.

Maybe so, but personally speaking, seeing them so cheap and even free elsewhere when still relatively new products (I'm looking at you Carbon) while they are still sending me emails trying to get me to pay $129 for it makes me less inclined to trust them. I haven't even bothered to demo any of the basses for exactly that reason.

The new JRR shop website looks very much like the old one.

I'm usually a sucker for an AAS upgrade, but truth is I've hardly ever used Chromaphone 1 or 2. Not saying that it's bad or anything, I just mostly forget that I even have it. I think I'll get the demo first this time.

Many moons ago I was in dispute with a bank over a change of t&c's that said bank was trying to impose upon me (and many others who had the same kind of deal). My dispute was that they could not just unilaterally alter a contract. They referred to section whatever on page so and so as documenting their right to do so, which did not exist. Long story short, they eventually admitted that the clause referred to wasn't in the contract, but this was because.......I quote....."there wasn't enough room on the page to print it".

The dispute was eventually referred to the financial ombudsman who concluded that they were within their rights to do this. FFS.
