My experience of Steinberg support (many moons ago).......
Me: Every time I press a key, any key, the program (Cubase Jr version of the day) crashes.
SB: We don't know what is causing that.
Me: So what now?
SB: There is nothing more we can say.
I know the feeling.....it takes me long enough to write a lyric. If I had to then make a film that made sense of it I would probably die before it was ever finished.
It is and great value when the sales are on (ie most of the time).I really wanted to like it, but I just couldn't deal with the clunky UI.
If it were no longer possible to use CW, it would still be up there as a possible option.
Think of them as devices designed to confirm that you've gotten way too banal without the b regarding the whole production thing. Only then will they make sense.
I don't install every new version, so I'm currently on 2020.09 which no longer populates the pro channel the way it used to when adding a synth track - only the eq is now there and anything else has to be added manually. Can anyone tell me which version changed this as I liked it the way it was before, so I either want to return to that version, or is there some way to put it back the way it was within the current version?
TIA.
Surely has to be what they are working on now. Always been the weakest link and even more so now with the various v.3's. I'd happily forego it for Tassman 5 though..........even if it was nothing more than an updated UI.
(Yeah I know)
The selector always defaults to Mac now for some reason and I sometimes forget to change it back to Win before d/loading. Didn't used to be that way, so I guess they changed it for some reason.
It's basically a collection of presets, so there's not really much else to judge it by. Yes there's the old quality v quantity debate, but I somehow doubt that the 4000+ that have now been removed were all crap. Disappointing, but hey ho, I'll get over it. Just 2020 still being 2020.?
I meant upgrade in the sense that one might reasonably expect the new version to be an upgrade on the previous one rather than a considerable downgrade.
Not if you don't have AL4. I was waiting for the black Keylab 88 which they have already priced considerably more than the white version, but with that and now a considerably downgraded AL I will be very much re-thinking that.
