Morrissey was the perfect voice for that band.
Shame he's become a total knob.

Well, I'm trying to remember back over 30 years and I've been stoned for most of the intervening period.

So I'd recommend starting with Lick.
So do 90% of women.

Ok, that made me go and listen to the song on YouBoob, and that has now made me want to go listen to more Lemonheads! Although I do have one album from them (Come On Feel), for some reason I apparently just haven't gotten around to listening to them!
Love finding new old music. ?
Lick, their third album, was the one that got me in to The Lemonheads.
At the time I thought the first two weren't so great.
So I'd recommend starting with Lick.

Nine Inch Nails - Dead Souls
Wow, somebody's managed to do a Joy Division cover without making a complete buggery of it.

It's a cool song, I love how tough the drums are behind the mellow vocal.
I'm going to have to listen to it now.
EDIT That was nice.

The Lemonheads - If I Could Talk I'd Tell You:
There was this chap I used to know called Greg, a friend of friends. I could never speak to him because I always had this compulsion to call him Ray. I knew that Ray wasn't his name but it was the first and only name that came to mind whenever I came across him. I have absolutely no idea why. Not that it was ever a problem because he was a bit of knob to be honest.
Anyways, it reminds me of the opening line to It's a Shame About Ray - "I've never been too good with names"

A Lennon-McCartney song:
Peter and Gordon* - A World Without Love
* When I was 18 I worked for the summer on a farm/granary. Gordon's wife worked there too. She was quite annoying a lot of the time.

I like everything from Boy to Achtung Baby, Bone-no was just the front guy Edge was the soul of the band.
Well that's the thing, the music starts with the Edge's plink-plonky guitar and then that's it until the end of the song.

(Nigel's favorite band! ? )
It's not so much that I dislike their music, although at it's core it's nothing
moremusic, but more that Bono's such an insufferable *****.-
