  1. A few days after posting this (and having the headphones for 6 years of daily use), the ear pads self destructed. I was able to buy a new pair on Amazon and had them the next day. Good as new.
  2. I have 3 Qnap NAS boxes of varying models, and they have all been VERY reliable. I run Plex on one of them and can access my music and some videos that I ripped (and owned on DVD) on my TVs and other devices.
  3. If your data does not exist in (at least) 3 places, it does not exist at all. Sooner or later you will lose it. I backup to a local internal drive, and 2 NAS boxes, AND to Backblaze online.
  4. These are very nice, and inexpensive. CB-1 Studio Headphones by Status Audio https://www.status.co/products/cb1
  5. I really enjoyed listening. It is very Floydian, and I am a big Floyd fan. -- Martin
  6. Celebrating with my 96 year old mother later today. Also with my two daughter in law mothers, and my two sister mothers.
  7. I did just turn off Windows Defender as well. I didn't see a great deal of difference, but it might be a bit faster.
  8. Bingo! You win the prize. I turned off real time protection in Malwarebytes, and the same project saves in about 4 seconds. Thank you! -- Martin
  9. This was timed with opening the project, and then saving it immediately with no changes.
  10. Each of the 10 tracks is set to Unify VST, which have mostly Roli Equator 2 synths loaded.
  11. I just upgraded my computer to a Dell XPS 8960 with NVME drives and 64Gb of ram in Windows 11. Both the boot/program drive and my project drive are NVME drives and are very fast. My projects with multiple tracks of midi instruments are saving VERY slowly. One that I did recently with 10 midi instrument tracks takes 50 seconds to save to an NVME drive. It loads in a fraction of that time. What's going on, and how can I fix this? -- Martin
  12. I've read recently that Magix is bankrupt. Be careful.
  13. Unify is just a host for plugins. If the plugin is MPE enabled, then it will work the same in Unify as it does stand alone, but in Unify you have lots of options, including adding multiple plugins to combine sounds. It's a fantastic product. I've been using it since it was first released.
  14. The first song on my SoundClick site among those mentioned above is now #1 in the Electronic genre, and #1 in Ambient/Electronic. Into the Aether
  15. Thanks Nigel, No, it didn't take long. I am not that great a keyboard player anyway, so the fact that it was different, was not a big issue. The song, "Rise" was the first that I did with it on the second day I had it. I got it just before Christmas, and I've created those 7 pieces since then. -- Martin
  16. I enjoyed both the music, and the video. Thanks for sharing it.
