  1. I dunno, so far the Reaper themes I've tried installed themselves somehow. Just download and double-click the theme file. Reaper opens with the new theme, or alternatively just drag the theme file into the Reaper window. https://prorec.com/how-to-install-reaper-themes/
  2. True that!!! I looked up Shuffler, and the guitarist, bass player, and drummer are all in Jamiroquai. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Turner_(bassist) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shuffler https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jamiroquai
  3. And it's Zebra Legacy day today too! Another $99 (for new owners)... but that can wait I think... ?
  4. So what's your opinion on the Piano V 3 and the CS-80 V 4? How much improved are they over the VC8 versions? Asking for a friend!
  5. My VC8 to VC9 upgrade is $99. That's better than my new initial VC9 offer price of $149 was. Decisions, decisions... So I already have VC8 and Augmented Strings. VC9 would add for me: KORG MS-20 V [new] SQ80 V [new] Augmented VOICES [new] Prophet-5 V [updated] Prophet-VS V [new] CS-80 V 4 [updated] Piano V 3 [updated] I have the MS-20 in the Korg Collection 3, and the u-he Repro 5 version of the Prophet 5, and am considering the upcoming Cherry Audio version of the CS-80. Not really all that interested in the SQ80 or Prophet-VS V. So it all comes down to how much better the Piano V 3 and/or CS-80 V 4 might be to push me over the edge...
  6. I was just quoting you for context in my reply, not actually directed to you. But I figured others may benefit from the related info! Cheers!
  7. I don't really see that as a problem unless someone plans to run dozens of CR8 instances in your project. Most folks have at least 16-32 GB of RAM available. Freezing instrument tracks or bouncing them to audio is also an option to free memory (and CPU) after you have finalized a track. And for those that absolutely need a sampler with a smaller footprint, check out the free Grace sampler by One Small Clue. Not as fancy as CR8, but only uses 269 MB of RAM. https://www.onesmallclue.com/ https://bedroomproducersblog.com/2015/09/14/grace-sampler-free/ "Compared to various more powerful (and quite often needlessly over-bloated) sampler instruments on the market, Grace is an absolute joy to use. Granted, it does have its limitations (more on those below), but it is the perfect tool for handling a substantial percentage of everyday sampling tasks."
  8. You are late! I already explained that was a joke!!! ?
  9. Well I reclaimed 34 GB of disk space by dumping the ST4 Synths and Acoustic Drums that I no longer needed!!! You simply need to go to your [1] ST4 content path and delete the selected sample category [SampleTank 4\Samples\SampleTank 4], and then [2] delete the respective instrument category [D:\SampleTank 4\Instruments\SampleTank 4]. Then [3] "Rescan All" in ST4 settings, and it's gone! This clears the category from the instrument browser. If you only delete the samples, the instruments will still show in the browser, but your samples will be missing. *Note: if you delete certain instrument categories that ST4 factory Multis are built on, many ST4 factory Multi parts will fail to load. In my case, deleting "Synths" killed most of the factory Multis, but not really a problem here because I rarely touched them.

    Cube Mini for 10

That's really the only downside of Mini that I can see, but for $10 I'm not complaining!

Awesome. Put your 10 on the spot!

    Cube Mini for 10

    Cube Mini installed!
  13. I would say that you got a good deal! The only things that I am lacking now are Sampletron and Fame Studio, so I'm willing to wait until TS adds the upgrades to the MODOs, and maybe some other newly released things.

  15. That was actually intended to be humorous. I actually upgraded to the paid version of Reaper to support development. And since I acquired the Echolot theme that appears a lot like the stock Cakewalk theme, I don't feel as much of a stranger in a strange land. Reaper is not my daily driver, but it's a solid DAW, and relatively bulletproof. It's my go-to for working out plugin routing that is not working in Cakewalk or elsewhere, as well as testing misbehaving plugins. In fact I have one plugin that sends MIDI out to drive other plugins that crashes every DAW I have on-hand, except Reaper!!! As far as theming goes, I will leave that to the experts! I have never taken the deep dive myself, but I do appreciate the efforts!
  16. I noticed that yesterday. Appears to be all fixed now!
  17. You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave...
  18. For $20 everyone needs another reverb! ?
  19. It's a $50 off the $199 price at u-he, so that makes it $149. But that deal's only available for another day, so it's gone forever on the 15th! You can get the Zebra Legacy on the 15th for $99, but without any upgrade path to Zebra 3 when it is released. The only advantage to getting it now is the $30 upgrade to Zebra 3. https://u-he.com/products/zebra2/zebra2-crossgrade.html
  20. It seems that the inMusic is consolidating their acquired and newly developed software assets into the AKAI Pro and MPC ecosystem. Leaving everything else in the "legacy" dustbin...
  21. One thing that really gripes me about SampleTank 4 MAX is the amount and size of the bundled generic "Synths" category instruments, at 21GB. Totally redundant if you also have Syntronik MAX, which is a whopping 176GB. Not to mention 13GB of ST4 acoustic drum kits. I've got plenty of drum alternatives, including MODO. The guitars and acoustic pianos I can live with at 45GB for each category, as they are generally very high quality. I've also got SampleTank 3 installed, at 154GB. Those instruments were not replaced by ST4, with 55GB of that ST3 footprint devoted to Miroslav Philharmonik. Most of the other sample banks in ST3 are rather small in comparison.
  22. I picked up Kinetic Strings a while back. I liked the idea of putting 4 string sections in motion from one instrument. The 3 newer Kinetic ones, Brass, Woodwinds, and Percussion look interesting. Especially the Percussion!
  23. Pics, or it never happened! ?
