Yes top quality production and mix, great performances (vocal and instrumental), catchy melodic elements. Along with Midnight Oil, reminds me a bit of Duran Duran. I hope that is a compliment.

Nice arrangement for the 2 finger picked guitars (I think). Strings also really well done - the cello is perfect. Good melody also. Has an Irish/Celtic feel. I would add a bass guitar, but that is just me.

Really good arrangement and mix, but you didn't use your EB0 bass ?. Really though the SI bass sounds great. The beginning hooks you in, the solo keyboard synth sound, then the bass comes in, then the drums - really good I think.

Thanks much Jack. Drums/hi-hat/cymbals are selected from various Cakewalk SI drum kits, except toms are from Cakewalk TTS-1. Used Roland Sound Canvas plugin for brass,sax, harmonica, synth pad and vox sounds. Used Carvin DC127 guitar with 1990s Digitech Valve Fx amp simulator/effects, plus Ibanez TS5 tube screamer for solo, and Carvin LB70 bass guitar through a 1990s Alesis 3630 compressor. I know it gets covered in other threads, but I think it might be useful to get some details like this when songs are posted.

Thx Steve for listening so closely. I was inspired to try posting this here when I heard your excellent version of "For No One." So do you mean the solo piano part, 13 secs from the start of the song? I am working from the transcription in "The Beatles Complete Scores," 1989. It is not without mistakes (nor am I).

Thanks. Yeah I can't sing, just do guitar and bass guitar. My son played all the keyboard parts. He can sing but didn't want to. There were a lot of parts to this even without vocals. Was hard (for me) to mix and keep all the instruments distinct.
