  1. $19.99 is the new $29.99? This is a new email. I just got it about an hour ago.
  2. Exactly. And my fav also for this reason. One other major reason that I will mention is the feel. I couldn't find another drum program that can capture the feel that I was looking for. It's a type of push/pull that constantly goes on throughout the song. This is the only drum program I play with, instead of following it. It's not locked to a midi grid. It flows! Like a real drummer! Yes, it does have a learning curve. What I have gathered from using the program is that to get the "feel and flow" I mentioned above, takes lots of different parameters that interact with each other, and sometimes are difficult to understand just by looking at them and playing around with them. I had to sit with the manual for several (read many times) go-throughs with the program open, read what a parameter did, tried it, and was then able to understand how it all worked. That it does. I use it and love it, but I have only scratched the surface with it. I do use the samples from the program (not all the time). When I do use the sample that come with it, I don't use much, if any, of the processing that comes with it. I use outboard stuff. It has a very unique sound that I like. My fav is the Bonham kit. They call it the Bonzo Kit. Well said. Once you get a grip on how to work the parameters, then switch to a different drummer (keeping the same parameters) and you now have a whole new style!! Turns the song that your working on into something you never even thought about. And that inspiration is priceless. May not be the style/drummer you want, but then you begin to realize that this program is very close to a real drummer. (Nah, go back to playing what you was before!) It's a drummer, it will be difficult! You just won't have to feed it or buy it beer!! Or worry about it being on time.... Or it sleeping over cause they couldn't drive home... Or helping them carry all that bs into the studio.... Or.....
  3. Exactly. And such a great song writing tool. After EZD2 came out, I fully expected EZK2 to follow soon after with browser/song finding/editing features similar to those in EZD2.
  4. Didn't realize that. May justify the steep price, I am not sure. I never wanted to control any midi software with my voice. As the SOS review stated, it would take lots of practice to get it right.
  5. What do they have to do with this. (My only reference to Pep Farms is the frozen cakes and pies. And of course the cookies!!) [TOTP!!]
  6. It has gone down significantly to $249. With me having Melodyne, I sure ain't paying this much for something Melodyne can do.
  7. Have you tried/bought it? Support not helping?
  8. Exactly. And I am an AAS supporter. Love all their stuff. Will I buy the3 next String Studio upgrade? IDKN. Like I said, I might just wait and see what happens. Will I stop buying from them? Certainly not. But like another company I deal with, I will wait it out. Wait for that good deal to come my way. Will I recommend them still? Again, most certainly.
  9. Yeah I did too. However, I did try it, and if you know how to "steam" the whipping cream, it makes for a very tasty beverage. Here is a less rich version that I want to try. (fixed) Yep. Not long ago we would make a pot of coffee on the boat and let it sit on the burner to "ripen" as we would say!! I can still taste it, even after all those years!! Today we got Keurigs on the boats and I have my own coffee that I bring. Some extra caffeinated stuff from Black Rifle Coffee . The wife and I were on vacation and I brought some of that with me and made a pot. The wife was not happy. She was jittery all day! Caffeine overload!!!
  10. Wanted to post this here so that others may benefit. Re: Coffee When Larry got all the extra coffee on BF, he and Zo talked about a different types of coffee beverages. They talked about a Viennoise coffee beverage, which I never tried. So I tried looking it up and got different results. So I asked about it and Larry posted a link to a good recipe. I wanted to thank @cclarry and @Zo for turning me on to some good stuff!!! Been enjoying a cup of the almost everyday since!!!
  11. Me too. And I saw that others got the same deal for much more product. Well I may do like you and just wait it out. I mean $34 ain't a bad deal for it to be honest. And I almost started to get it. I almost got the whole deal for over $130. But just didn't want to spend that much. So I just finished my String Studio collection.
  12. Yep, same thing happened to me!!
  13. Got my freebie and picked up the Custom Bundle of String Studio 3. Got three titles for $24. I started to go all out and get the whole shebang for little over a ben, but just decided to wait to maybe next time. Really gotta like AAS.
  14. Yeah, I was going for the regular retail price of $859. Forgot about the code. Great deal!!
  15. Agree 100% with this statement. I can also say that the spring reverb sounds great too. Don't turn you nose up at it. Try it on some vocals, stick on a mix. You will see, it's also a very good reverb.

    More NI Updates

I have places that I put my vst plugins. And I tell CW, Reaper and S1 to search just those folders. On my main computer the extra space gain is no big deal. However, on my Surface it is a big deal and I regularly go through and delete all the extra cruff.
  17. Agreed. It's a good thing. Just pointing out what we use to be able to do.
  18. Exactly. There was a time not long ago when you could buy Gear Credits at a substantial discount because they offered 100 Gear Credits for let's say $89. Then you could use Jam points to bring it down further. And the more GC you bought, say 500, the discount was even bigger. So if you had enough Jam Points, you could get a lot of GC for almost half off. So IK quit offering new products in the CS, so you couldn't use any gear credits to purchase new stuff. Few guys on this forum bought lots of GC and some of them may still have them. Because they couldn't buy what they wanted in the CS. Only the on line store. Now with this new CS thay have, they have taken away the discount on the Gear Credits. Now GC will cost you dollar for dollar. IOW 100 GC will cost you $100.
  19. That's what I thought. I had gone to the Izotope portal to see what my loyalty discount would be ($149). Then got to looking at what I had and what was I going to get with MPS 4/1? Thought I was missing something. I now know why I didn't jump on this when MPS 4 came out.
